Vince Young says he has an impostor

No one has seen Vince Young on the football field yet this season, as Young has been inactive for the Eagles’ first two games. And if you think you’ve seen him off the field, you may be wrong.

Young has alerted the authorities — and the media — that someone in the Washington, D.C., area has been impersonating him.

“There’s a guy in D.C. running around saying he’s me,” Young said. “Keep watch out for this guy because he’s not me. He’s out there impersonating me. He’s been taking money, taking pictures with kids at hospitals. It’s real sick.”

Young said he is concerned about what the man might be doing and hoping the police will track him down.

“We want to make sure to capture him because we don’t want anyone to get harmed,” Young said.

Impostors are a significant job hazard for NFL quarterbacks: There’s the Brett Favre impostor, the Ben Roethlisberger impostor and now the Young impostor. If you’re approached by someone claiming to be an NFL quarterback, ask to see some ID.
