They basically were trying to cover the poor job they did last year in the playoff game.
Failed to mention during the game that his helmet was taken by the coaches (mentioned immediately on the radio broadcast).
Only showed shots of him sitting alone and none of his talking to the backup QB and encouraging him.
In short, they created a false story and now this year create false newspaper headlines to keep the story going.

Ah look at the poor conservatives crying about liberals.

Dry your eyes. And stop lying.

Thanks.

And wizardsrevenge, fabricating material and lying about the veracity of it is more than a faux pas.

The lengths to which conservatives go to justify and rationalize their actions/beliefs is INCREDIBLE! No, deliberately lying is not a "faux pas" - its MUCH larger than that.

But hey, why be honest with yourself and face painful truths when you can just direct your anger at liberals and pretend to feel good about yourself?!

dren0332,

You are totally missing the point. This is only the tip of the iceberg, in my opinion. Berman is a character, and a great sportscaster. You don't have to like him, but he isn't a liar, and doesn't work for a network that is all about putting their own subjective spin on whatever they report about to generate headlines and money. HOW exactly is "ESPN no better" than Fox?

This is about a NETWORK that is Full of S**t (not that this is surprising), but also very willing to write whatever it wants (fictitious or not) to be able to make more $ by attempting to grab more attention from its readers. This is about good ol' fashioned deceit and greed - create headlines for profit. This doesn't start and stop with sports - it goes much deeper than this.

Fox Network is a prime example of "lie, cheat, and say whatever you can to make a buck". For a network that states itself to be "fair and balanced", this is the furthest from the truth. Don't lump in ESPN with this disgusting network, and this has NOTHING to do with pre-game honey-do lists. Not only did Fox MAKE UP headlines, then they lied about it on top of that.

You may not care about what they did, but don't trivialize it and lump in other networks for supposedly doing the same thing. Give ME a friggin' break, and wake up at the same time, bro.

Fair and Balanced, right Fox? I guess when the lies and deceit come from much higher above (politicians and government at large), those below think things like this are OK.

These scum of the earth-type companies will do whatever they can to catch the attention of readers, and admittedly they were guilty of misleading their readers.

Now, I can't disagree with the assessment of Cutler, but can we PLEASE set the example of honesty being the best policy? Oh, wait, so sorry. I forgot there is that little issue of money involved. The press does nothing but mislead, twist, politicize, aggrandize, etc, etc. Politicians understand it all too well, and how interesting (and disgusting) it is that the press and the politicians are both so good at misleading the public. F*** me once, shame on you, F*** me twice, shame on me. Let's see how Fox responds on this one.

Fox pretty much sucks, has sucked, and hopefully there will be some strong backlash on this. What is disappointing is that they will still televise games that I don't want to miss. I will attempt to boycott them, but it won't be easy.....

Chicago's offensive line and wide receivers are actually the best the NFL has ever seen.

They just want to get the whining, sniveling little brat Cutler out of there.

Have you never heard of the "ole" or "watchout" block?

All news agencies lie constantly, it's just that Fox is arguably the most blatant offender. I stopped following the media because I got sick of constant bombardment by contradictions and half-truths that were 99% negative in nature.

Give me the name of just one mainstream media outlet that reports the news with complete integrity and without any political bias and I will eat my shirt. I can assure you, finding that pot of gold under the rainbow would prove to be a far less daunting task.

Even when you agree with it, it is still propaganda.
