Titans receiver Kenny Britt was due to stand trial today on charges arising from allegations that he crushed what police believed was a marijuana cigarette.
Conor Orr of the Newark Star-Ledger reports that the trial has been postponed, due to Britt’s hiring of a new lawyer, along with additional information that Britt’s lawyer wants from prosecutors before proceeding.
Britt was not present in court for the hearing that resulted in the continuance. No new date has been set for the trial.
