Larry Johnson is out of the NFL once again.

The Dolphins released Johnson, just two days after rookie Daniel Thomas looked healthy and effective against the Texans.

Johnson was signed by Miami before Week One because Thomas was banged up. Miami doesn’t have to pay the rest of his base salary because he used the one-time termination pay benefit after being cut by Chiefs back in 2009.

Johnson had two yards rushing this season on one carry. That matches his rushing total from a year ago in Washington.
