Tuesday is the deadline for team’s to sign their franchise players to long-term deals this season.
Dolphins nose tackle Paul Soliai and Chargers wide receiver Vincent Jackson will play out their one-year contract. Ravens defensive tackle Haloti Ngata, on the other hand, may be nearing a monster contract extension.
Albert Breer of NFL Network reports that Ngata and the Ravens are “close” to a long-term deal.
Ngata said last week that the two sides were getting closer, but there have been conflicting reports about whether a deal would get struck. We’ll find out soon enough.
