Broncos get some of their injured players back

Last week, after Rosenthal and I made our official PFT picks, the Broncos got more bad news on the injury front.  It was so bad that Rosenthal lobbied for the ability to change his pick from the Broncos to the Bengals.

I should have let him, given that the Broncos won the game.

This week, the Broncos have begun to get some of their injured players back.

Defensive end Elvis Dumervil (shoulder), receiver Brandon Lloyd (groin), running back Knowshon Moreno (hamstring), linebacker D.J. Williams (elbow) all practiced on a limited basis.

That said, the following players didn’t practice: cornerback Champ Bailey (hamstring), receiver Eddie Royal (groin), receiver Demaryius Thomas (finger), tight end Julius Thomas (ankle), and defensive tackle Marcus Thomas (groin).

Denver’s opponent this week also has some injury concern. Titans running back Chris Johnson didn’t practice, due to injured ribs. Also, receiver Kenny Britt practiced on a limited basis, with a thigh injury.

Fortunately for them, Tebow can play any of those positions. Just not quarterback.

This will be a telling game for he Broncs: A loss means 5 or fewer wins which is not much improvement over last year and a top 10 pick

So what have we learned today? If your last name is Thomas, you’re injured.

A loss means five or fewer wins and a top 10 pick..

And a win means the super bowl?

So the race to Luck has begun. Who will be the best at being the worst? The Colts, or the Broncos…

Was Moreno out? I just assumed he contributed his usual 5 carries for 7 yards.

Putting Tebow in as a receiver reminds me of my playing time in Pop Warner games. Fox and the Bronco’s are a joke. As far as I am concerned, if it is true Orton did not look Tebow’s way, Orton is not a team player and like it or not should be set down and told so in no uncertain terms. Tebow is getting the wrong end of the deal right now and will be best treated as traded to a different team asap.
