Cincy has a new Ochocinco

Jacksonville Jaguars 2011 Headshots

Former Bengals receiver Chad Johnson changed his name to Ochocinco to match his jersey number of 85.  Now that Chad is gone, the Bengals already have re-issued the number.

Per NFL.com, receiver Armon Binns is the Nuevo Ochocinco.

But don’t look for 85 to be on the field any time soon.  Binns has been signed only to the practice squad.  He’ll have to make it to the 53-man roster — and be one of the 46 men selected to dress on game day — before the jersey will be worn for all NFL fans to see.

I’m more excited about the Bengals bringing Andrew Hawkins to the 53 man roster….He was on Playmakers with Jesse Holley, maybe he can get some PT and make a contribution to the baby Bengals.

Dude is 6’3″ 215lbs and caught 75 balls for something around 1,100 yards as a SR at Cinci. If I were the other Cinci I’d trade him to the Giants who need all the WR help they can get.

Hawkins out performed Holley in every way possible, Irvin went into that show knowing he wanted a big WR and the judges ignored all the other qualities of the other contestants.

JJ wanted a big WR, and what JJ wants, JJ gets.

Looks like he may be starting for Jerome Simpson. I’m so frustrated with our Bengal players. Other teams during the lockout got together and practiced. J. Simpson sold drugs. 8.5 lbs to be exact. STUPID!!
