Deon Grant was getting run ragged by Sam Bradford. The only reason why they won was because of the Rams shooting themselves in the foot….4 Times!! That’s right, everyone of the Giants scores were from Rams mistakes.

Bradford torched the Giants secondary, and made a veteran safety a laughing stock of the NFL.

The Giants are trash, and they will be lucky to win 5 games this year. Lucky enough they play the 49ers and Seahawks so I guess that’s the only 2 sure wins.

Oh and Tom Coughlan’s excuse for the faking was just as bad and he should have been fined as well. Telling the media and NFL that “one guy tripped and other cramped up”. What a freaking joke.

Mr. Fusion: excellent post! If the league were to limit this sort of infraction to hurry-up situations it would largely preclude teams from sending in a scrub to “get hurt” and miss those five (or whatever) plays.

Deon Grant: you ought to take lessons from soccer players on how to properly and convincingly flop. Or European basketball players; they’re accomplished floppers, too.

They both looked like soccer floppers only worse, because this is the NFL. Fans of the Giants should wear bags over their heads. What a joke. It’s embarrassing for the entire team and you can bet many of their teammates aren’t happy about it either (if they have any self-respect.) Man up for crying out loud.

You do realize they were one for four in the red zone right? It’s not like the rams scored every time except the injury play. He ade a savvy play to better his chances to win. What about this for a rule modification: if a defensive player is injured, the team cannot change personnel (except for the injured player of course) unless the offensive team changes personnel.

I am thinking along the lines of MrFusion.

My thought was instead of having injured players sit out only 1 play, have them sit out for the rest of the current possession, or as MrFusion said a set number of plays.

I agree with those who have basically said “enough with the timeout penalty idea, PFT!” It just doesn’t make sense.
