The Falcons survived an Eagles invasion of the Georgia Dome, escaping with a win and evening the Atlanta record to 1-1.
It gets no easier in Week Three, when the Falcons return to Tampa to face a Buccaneers team that still believes it should have won both games in the annual rivalry last season, a point quarterback Josh Freeman made earlier this week on NBC SportsTalk.
As the Falcons prepare for the NFC South showdown, two of their key players were limited in practice on Wednesday. Quarterback Matt Ryan has a knee injury, and receiver Roddy White has a thigh injury.
Also limited were defensive end Ray Edwards (foot) and center Todd McClure (knee). Missing practice were defensive tackle Jonathan Babineaux (knee) and cornerback Kelvin Hayden (hamstring).
For the Bucs, four players didn’t participate in practice: linebacker Quincy Black (ankle), tackle James Lee (knee), receiver Sammie Stroughter (ankle), and tight end Kellen Winslow (not injury related).
