As MDS pointed out earlier this afternoon, Eagles quarterback Mike Vick fully participated in practice on Thursday.

The team has since announced that Vick was cleared by an independent neurosurgeon to do so.

But that doesn’t mean Vick has been cleared to play on Sunday against the Giants. Team spokesman Derek Boyko tells PFT that it’s a “constant ongoing process.”

At this point, there’s no reason to think Vick won’t be cleared to play. But being cleared to take part in football activities in which quarterbacks aren’t supposed to ever be hit is a different proposition than being cleared to play in a game.
