Manningham downgraded to out

The Giants are down yet another starting player.

Wide receiver Mario Manningham was downgraded to out Saturday after not flying with the team to Philadelphia, according to Bob Glauber of Newsday.

The news doesn’t come as  surprise; Manningham was listed as doubtful. With Domenik Hixon also out for the year, the stagnant Giants offense is short a few vertical weapons this week. Defensive end Osi Umenyiora and cornerback Prince Amukamara are both out as well.

The Giants’ passing game was already struggling before the receiver injuries.  They could really use Victor Cruz to step up at this point, but New York’s best chance for success against the Eagles will be on the ground.  Philly mostly did a solid job against Atlanta’s ground game last week.

Not good. But there will be running lanes available with that stupid wide 9 BS. CRUZ AND STOKLEY MUST STEP UP.

Oh snap! I’d better pick up Victor Cruz on my fantasy team pronto.

Why U Mad Bro? Oh, thats right…
The Eagles Are going to embarrass that joke of a walking injury team . You think with the imminent beat down that is going to happen, the nj team would not talk any smack…
but they act like entitled females so I guess the eagles will have to treat them like that. A nice lil ass- whoopin will shut their yaps real fast.

why the hell would they fly to Philadelphia? It’s a 90 minute drive

  5. justanotherdummy says: Sep 24, 2011 4:21 PM

Did the Giants really fly to Philly? Just drive halfway down the NJ Turnpike and turn right. It takes like 75 minutes.

  6. Mr. Wright 212 says: Sep 24, 2011 4:28 PM

and when that doesn’t happen and you have no more “six in a row” to “brag” about then what will be the excuse?

Bradshaw 200 yards Jacobs 125 yards run on that sorry D line all day long and Convick will be eating the stink at the link grass

And why should they drive the President came to NY brought 4 Planes to carry his ass
All that for a guy that no one even cares about

assamug can’t handle the cruz !

  9. greymares says: Sep 24, 2011 4:50 PM

they’re gonna look awfully silly looking for running lanes down 30 pts. i doubt there will be many from the get go the Giants should be looking at 8 men in the box. and according to the earlier post they will be punting out of bounds about 17 times

  10. typicaleaglesfan says: Sep 24, 2011 4:58 PM

Mr wright your a nitwit, a fully healthy ginas team couldn’t neat the birds last year.

Bigbluefan are you delusional? Our crappy defensive line?????? Shows how much football you watch. Our d line will have Eli throwing interceptions and coughing up the ball. Cole, Babin, Jenkins, and Patterson are solid. Our linebacking core is questionable not our d line or our secondary. Please watch a football game or two then post something intelligent.

“New York’s best chance for success against the Eagles will be”…to make sure their stunt that was pulled against the Rams is this time around believable because its a guarantee that Andy will go no-huddle against that Perry “Fakell” Defense……

typicaleaglesfan, now you did it you called Richard Cranium212 by his screen name now he will call you coward and other such names but will not want to reveal his sorry identity. i used to read his post’s to my wife and my dog, but i had to stop, the dog always laughed so hard he pissed on the floor.

Seriously Eagles fans, it’s just not possible for the giants and birds to have a blowout. Even when one of these teams stink, they beat the **** out of each other.

As an eagles fan, I always feel fortunate to get a W against the g-men. That’s why it’s been a good few years

McCoy’s the factor, giants will keep the score low

  14. greendreams6 says: Sep 24, 2011 6:50 PM

The Giants are gonna get destroyed tomorrow!

  15. dontouchmyjunk says: Sep 24, 2011 6:57 PM

These games are rarely a blowout, but this one has the potential. The Giants defense can’t keep up with the speed of the Eagles offense. If they build a lead, the Giants can run all day and lose by at least three scores.

If Manning tries to pass against these guys, it isn’t going to be pretty.

Giants are going to beat the Eagles, an injured team is a dangerous team. Eagles will lose and the Eagles fans will make an excuse why they lost. Eagles fans are the worst fans in all sports.

All these fair weather Giants fans need to become Eagles’ fan. We don’t need you’re insulting comments about the Giants.

The quote is a wounded animal is a dangerous animal and this Giant team is far from animals. also all the stupid Giant fans (those that think this team will win) should actually become steeler fans you can double that S.B. total

    Analysis of a Giants fan:

I’ll sum it up for you. Jeremy Maclin gets blasted upside the head by a defender that absolutely launched himself at him but he will play Sunday. Michael Vick gets twisted and flung face first into his lineman and leaves with a concusion but he will play Sunday. Tony Romo gets 2 cracked ribs and a punctured lung but says he will play this week. Mario Manningham falls on his face while wide open and goes untouched but manages to give himself a concusion and will not play this week !!! When your season is going like that, there isn’t a hell of a lot to talk about now is there ??

    Ouch!!

    Analysis of an Eagles fan:

I’ll sum it up for you. No Super Bowl wins ever. Last NFL Championship – 1960. Major events in 1960 – The Pill is introduced. The first weather satellite is launched. Black students stage a sit-in at a lunch counter in Greensboro, NC to protest segregated seating at the establishment; the event inspires a wave of such sit-ins across the South. JFK elected President.

How pathetic is a team and it’s fans when the last time they won the only game that counts, segregation was still widespread, JFK was the President, not only had we NOT landed on the moon – we were TWO years away from even orbiting the earth, and the Andy Griffith Show was TVs big hit?

If you were 14 when the Eagles won, you are now collecting Social Security. If you were 35, you’re probably dead.

If you were 14 the last time the Giants won the Super Bowl, you’re 17. If you were 35, you’re 38.

But, hey, keep celebrating those regular season wins, assclowns. They are certainly leading to endless post season success, right? Right?

  22. ninjapleazee says: Sep 24, 2011 11:18 PM

seriously.. they flew from Jersey to Philly?

  23. Mr. Wright 212 says: Sep 25, 2011 12:05 AM

Yeah, I actually get to Philly quicker by FLYING than I do by going to Teterboro or Newark and boarding, getting off and what not. But hey, “if you got it, flaunt it?”

Sheeeeeit, take the bus, guys. No need to get unnecessary “jet lag” lml.

And since that will never happen…

Eagles fans squawking about regular season wins is right up there with Jests fans(and Rex) claiming that the Jests are now NY’s team.

Just pity them. They don’t have the brain power to operate in any other way
