Arian Foster not expected to play

Arian Foster AP

Texans running back Arian Foster didn’t play in Week One with a hamstring injury.  And he likely wont play in Week Three.

Bob Holtzmann of ESPN reports that signs are pointing to Foster not playing at New Orleans.  Separately, we’ve heard from a league source that Foster is not expected to play.

The 2010 NFL rushing leader practiced on a limited basis Thursday and Friday, raising hopes that he would be available.  He is officially listed as questionable.

Ben Tate, who has rushed for more than 100 yards in each of the first two games of the season, will start in Foster’s absence.

Foster initially injured the hamstring during the first practice of training camp.  He has since aggravated it twice, most recently against the Dolphins in Week Two.

Foster was a 1 hit wonder just like Slaton. Tate will have a big yr, then be replaced in a yr or two. THats how the Texans do business.

Tell Bob Holtzmann of ESPN that four days ago, signs were pointing to Foster not playing at New Orleans. Someone needs to pay more attention as this is not breaking news.

He might as well have been the one on the cover of Madden!

I dont know why ppl get mad when you say he is a one year wonder . Kubiak is from the Shanahan tree of coaching . EVeryone knows that Shanny can make a 1000 yard rusher out of anyone with that scheme . From Orlando Gary to Mike Anderson and now thats who Foster is .

You guys are on drugs…one hit wonder? He had 3 great games to finish the 2009 season and 16 great games last year….more like a 19 hit wonder…foster has a nagging injury, once he is FULLY HEALTHY he will be back to old ways…

You can put any solid one cut and go back in that system and they’ll have success, Texans’ o-line is waaaay underated.
