Bills cornerback Aaron Williams left the field on a stretcher today in Buffalo after suffering an apparent head or neck injury.
Williams was conscious and waved to the crowd as he was being taken off the field.
It wasn’t clear how Williams got hurt. He went down while attempting to tackle Patriots receiver Wes Welker, and teammate Leodis McKelvin fell on him, but nothing about it looked out of the ordinary. But Williams stayed on the ground for several minutes while medical personnel attended to him.
Williams was selected by the Bills in the second round of this year’s draft, No. 34 overall.
