APTitans receiver Kenny Britt left Sunday’s game against the Broncos with a knee injury.
Per a source with knowledge of the situation, it’s believed that Britt has an MCL injury. He’ll have an MRI on Monday, after the swelling subsides a bit.
The duration of Britt’s absence will depend on the severity of the injury, if it’s indeed the MCL and only the MCL. Absent a complete tear, the rope-like ligament can heal without surgery.
The injury happened while Britt was falling awkwardly to the ground, causing him to lose possession.

I’d like to see Mariani get on the field a little more often.
Please be OK Kenny! I can’t survive if I have to replace you with Branch(0 yds, 0 catches, 0 targets) again… X-(
MCL isn’t “rope-like” at all. Complete tear good to go in 3-4 weeks as long as no other injury
The injury happened because a DB put his helmet on his knee at about 20 mph. Maybe watch the game.
Britt’s one of the best young WRs in the league. Hopefully it isn’t anything serious. With the way Chris Johnson is “playing”, he is the only dangerous weapon that Tennessee has.
So lets say he is out 4-6 weeks, will “the rat” Goodell, that is his suspension??
You’re on the right track, countsnail. That said, Matt Hasselbeck has played like his old Pro Bowl self these first few games. However, if this Britt injury turns out to be a torn ACL instead of MCL, then Chris Johnson had better start living up to his own hype, or this could be a long year for us Titans fans.
