I'm not looking for respect. I'm looking to make your visit to Lincoln Financial Field as authentic as possible. Security guards don't do much in the face of 60,000 fans chucking ice chunks and/or batteries at players' or fans skulls. It doesn't take away the fact that we are so unbelievably obnoxious that it can take players out of their game. Just ask T.O. It's pretty lude, insulting, and otherwise infuriating talk. And that's before we get into batteries, ice balls, and beer bottles. Like I said.. It's not about your respect, or anyone else's. It's about making our home as uncomfortable as possible for opposing fans and their teams, and nobody here would ever want to change that. If you've never witnessed it, you should give it a try. I think we, as Eagles fans, matter a bit more than anyone on the outside realizes. And even if we don't.. We have one hell of a time acting like we do. Haah

Nobody is talking about visiting fans curing the economy but every dollar helps. If you get 1,000 out of towners into the city for a weekend each spending $1,000....you're right, I'm no economist but I can do some math and that equals $1,000,000. How do you think a town like Green Bay, in the middle of nowhere, survives? That town is built on tourism for visiting fans to take in Lambeau.

Many others, including me, would love to come to Philly for a weekend of football, museums, history and cheesesteaks. The Linc is a beautiful stadium and most of us visiting fans would have no problem sitting in our seats rooting quietly and engaging in some playful banter with the home fans. I've done it at plenty of other stadiums and a good time was had by all.

However, Philly fans would rather act boorish just so they are known for something. Flipping over wheelchairs and spitting on children is not something to brag about. You might have watched one too many 1980's NFL film clips but players aren't afraid of any stadium. There is 20 security guards for each player and if you haven't noticed, the players from both teams are all huggy-huggy after the games anyway. Your behavior does not give you a distinct home field advantage. It makes you despised a-holes that no other fan can respect. If that's what makes you tools feel all warm and fuzzy inside, have at it. But don't complain when every other fan talks down on you.

I'm 100% positive that more visiting fans at the Linc would fix the economic woes of the region. No doubt...? You sir, must be some kind of economist. And I specifically said that 50 on 5 is not a realistic number. Or you weren't reading carefully? It's more than 50 on 5. Easy. Just one other mistake. Teams actually are afraid of the Linc. Just as they were (admittedly) afraid of The Vet. You'll probably be hard pressed to find a current player who'll admit that they're scared, for obvious reasons. Maybe you should, however, do a little more research on the laundry list of retired players and coaches (especially from the NFC East) that openly talk about the old astro-turf being the least of their worries when walking into that stadium. I don't expect you, or anyone outside of this city understand or admire it. I don't blame you, and I don't think that your sentiments are completely incorrect. I just know where I come from. I know how I feel on Sundays. And I know that it's not going anywhere. I simply want the media, the players and the opposing fans to stop acting suprised. It's OUR house. If you don't like the way we run OUR house, then you are within your rights as an american citizen not to step foot in said house.

Teams aren't scared of the Linc. Just b/c fans are scared to go, doesn't give you a homefield advantage. It just gives you more of your own to share disappointment with.

And 50 on 5 isn't something to be proud of. It makes you a girl.

By the way, last I checked, Philadelphia isn't the beacon of the economic turnaround. If you dummies would lighten up, you might get some visiting fans in there to pump some much needed tourism money into that dump of a city.

There isn't another stadium that teams and fans alike are MORE scared to enter (hats off to Oakland). I'd say that's a bit of a home field advantage. Might I make a suggestion? If Eagles fans are the scum of the earth, and Philadelphia is the worst place to be in existence etc., then do us all a favor. Don’t come here. Don’t park in our lots. Don’t sit in our seats. Don’t come to our stadium. Don’t even drive/fly towards our city. Nobody owns a stadium like WE do. On Sundays, we live to provide opposing fans and their teams with the worst day we can manage. This is not going to change. Win or lose, you will not be having a pleasant afternoon at the ballpark. It’s gonna be ugly, and you’re probably going to be upset by it at some point in the day. And that’s the way we like it. This reputation is 70+ years old now. Nobody can complain like it’s a novel idea. Come here, and you’ll have to listen to it all day.. whether our team is good or bad, and honestly.. that’s if you just shutup and watch the game. If you can’t shut up, it can get worse. If that’s not something you can handle.. tough. Then stay away from South Philadelphia.
------------

Please child. Your home field advantage is mediocre at best. Denver, Green Bay, Buffalo, KC to name a few make your stadium sound like a library. In these stadiums you will find some of the nicest fans you've ever met who are a pleasure to watch games with even if you're the visiting fan. Just admit it...you act like j-o's b/c you haven't won jack and you want to be known for something other than being lumped in with the Lions, Bengals and Browns. By the way, the only reason opposing fans are scared of the Linc is because you beotches fight 50 on 5. Let your misery be eternal.

I hate the Giants but I like Tuck, he is a monster, but too many of these athletes shoot themselves in the foot with their words and ramblings.

What about all those childish fans on the Steve Smith Facebook page? That wasn't embarrassing to your organization or anything, was it? The hatred and debauchery on that page was far more embarrassing than throwing a beer can at a bus and flipping the bird.

The Giants and the Eagles is a huge rivalry in the NFC East. Both are physical teams and the games often get physical.

I am pretty sure the Giant fans didn't send the Eagles off with roses and rice last year, or the year before that, or the year before that.

I'm a Giants fan and I have no problem with the Eagles fans being classless. The Giants fans have done some pretty classless things themselves over the years and so have many other teams fans, they just don't get the visibility because of their market. The Giants probably played the best game I've seen them play since they beat the Pats in the Super Bowl. Kevin Gilbride finally called a great game and the goal line defense saved them for the second week in a row. I do find it funny that Vick whined about being hit so many times but claims he's not complaining, and tells the refs to do their jobs but says he doesn't blame the refs. Make up your mind Mike! If you’re not complaining WTH are you doing? If you’re not blaming the refs then they most have done their job, right? Sounds like a sore loser to me. If Andy Reid said that the refs weren't doing their jobs would he be getting a fine right about now?
