Hey there, Joe. You awake yet? It’s almost noon. No no, don’t get up. Just wanted to let you know something.

Look, you won the Super Bowl. You were a hero – almost a half century ago. Granted, it’s more than I’ll ever accomplish if I live to be a hundred but let’s be honest, it was the last significant thing you’ve done aside from being drunk on television.

So, if you’re under the impression that the world needs your constant buy in on the Jets, you’re sadly mistaken. I know you want a piece of the glory now that they’re a good team again, but this is their time. Yours has come and gone.

Now, here’s a nice delicious bottle of Jameson. Why don’t you crawl into it and mind your own business. Kay? Thanks.

Let’s face it, Namath was always an overrated QB to start and who got into the HOF because of one game. His numbers are average at best. Now after over 30 years out of the game, he thinks he can tell Ryan how to run the team? I think not.

I hate the Jets but respect the job Ryan has done. He provided leadership where it didn’t exist and is a good game planner. Of course, it’s easy looking like a great defensive coach when you start with Revis. Ryan could show a bit more respect to Namath than he has. Would it have killed him to say that Namath was a great Jet but that he believes and expects more of his team than Namath does?

Jets are tough to figure out, they go toe to toe with the best teams in the league then need a miracle to eek out a game against a mediocre team. In my humble non-biased opinion Rex has probably been spending valuable time game-planning for the Bills several weeks from now…

But seriously Bills fans, stop saying we’re the best team in the East we just won but NE is now 15-1 against us in our last 16. Seriously, ITS THREE GAMES.

Well, that’s certainly a change from that Hard Knocks show, when Rex brought in “Mr. Jet” Joe Namath to talk to the team at camp, and kissed Joe Willie’s Broadway butt all the way back to New York.

Back then, Joe was a football god. Now that the team is losing, Joe doesn’t know squat. Oh what great entertainment!

Next thing you know, Joe Willie won’t know anything about feet, either, even though he did all those pantyhose commercials…

Slippery slope for Rex calling out the Jets only real hall of famer throughout their amazingly successful, illustrious existence (sarcasm; the other HoFers being Don Maynard [Punter], John Riggins [Steelers], Weeb Ewbank [Head Coach]). This town can turn very quickly on a coach (see Willie Randolph, Herm Edwards & Jim Fassel). The Jets are clearly not the same team they were last season. Shonn Greene is approaching bust territory; their OL is very weak; Edwards/Cotchery was better than Plax/Mason; their D is getting old & looks slow; and Sanchez is not a very good QB & is making mistakes as he did in his rookie year. This team will not win when Sanchez throws 30-plus times, especially with the simplistic pass patterns they run. With 4 routes, 3 are a combination of short slants, short hitches and short to medium in-routes, while the 4th is always Plax going deep on a fly or post. Teams are picking up on this and are going to begin under-cutting the short routes & jamming Plax at the line because he is terrible against press coverage. On defense, there has been little to no change in Rex’s scheme. Rex continues to call the same overload blitzes & it’s on tape, teams are picking it up. When that doesn’t work, he drops 8 in zone coverage with a front three that can’t penetrate Saran Wrap. Thus far in 2011, Rex has been out-coached in every game aside from the Jaguars game. It took a minor miracle and a Romo collapse for the Jets to escape week 1 with a win. If he keeps getting out-classed, out-schemed & out-coached, Rex is going to find himself on the wrong end of loyal Jets’ fans’ wrath & newspaper headlines. Calling out Joe Namath won’t help his cause one bit. This might just be the beginning of the end of the Jets’ dynasty (where they didn’t win a single trophy, not even a division trophy) and the onset of panic amongst Gang Green.

I understand and respect that Joe Namath is a Super Bowl winning QB. but the fact is he had 220 interceptions to just 170 touchdowns in his career, and had a 50.1 completion percentage for his career.

Joe Montana he is not… far from it. Shut your drunkin’ yap, Namath.

The Jets lost to pretty good Raider team in Oakland. The Jets aren’t great and until they can run the ball they won’t be. Based on the Raider game they can’t stop the run either. Need lots of work to get back to that championship game.

there is no doubt the jets were prepared. raiders were very fortunate to go into halftime tied. The one mistake was sanchez interception in the end zone. that would have made the score 24 -7.

Raiders never converted a third down all day, so nanath is soundind llike he is drunk again. The raiders and jets battled all day. Sanchez got the black and blue face to prove, and the raiders are all banged up after that game. Both team played a physical game, and raiders got the win. Fact is Joe, the Jets have been to the last two AFC championships. That is one more then you ever played in your entire life. I have a lot of friends that are jets fans, and they knew the raiders just beat them in a tough game. Both team have a lot of players nicked up from that game yesterday.
