Five things we liked from Week Three

Every Monday night on NBC SportsTalk (VERSUS, 6:00 p.m. ET), Russ Thaler and I go over five things we liked and five things we didn’t like from the Sunday that was in the NFL.

Here are the five things we liked.

For those of you who respond only to teases, sorry but I can’t remember what the five things were.

At least I’m not insisting I didn’t facemask a guy when the visual evidence is obvious that I did.

  1. Do we really have to have all these video’s of these homers talking about things they dont know about?!?. Is this what football journalism has come to now ?!?! I want my Madden back! Please! The advert was more entertaining!

  2. The reason the Pats don’t run the ball is that Bill Bilichick wants to prove that he is some kinda of offensive master mind and that Tom Brady is the greatest QB ever. Too bad they will fizzle out in the playoffs. He’s just not that scary without his camera.

  3. The lack of a running game will hurt all these pass happy teams when the weather turns, and turn it will.

The Raiders big time running game will pay even bigger dividends down the road.

  4. @joetoronto: you must have missed the Pats kick Chicago butts last year in the sub zero windy frozen conditions.
Brady doesn’t have problems in the weather.

I’ll take a big time running game, over a big time passing game, every time, but especially in bad weather.

If your Pats had a running game, they would have brought that game home against the Bills, instead of throwing 4 picks.

You know it, I know it, and everybody else knows it.
