Interesting nickname. Would have been a bit more deserved if he’d have actually thrown a touchdown pass instead of relying on the kicker six times to beat a Redskins team with a very weak offense.

It cracks me up when I read Cowboysfan talking about how they clubbed the Redskins.
The Redskins stink. Their 2-0 start was fraudulent.
Cowboysfan, let this stew: Your two “wins” were over teams with a combined 12-20 record from last season, with no real noticeable sign of improvement. The only reason they won was because Rex Grossman is incapable of leading a proficient offense. Cowboysfan, you defeated Alex Smith and Rex Grossman. That’s not exactly Tom Brady throwing it around on you.

Romo looks like a hero, but the real hero was his cracked rib. It made him play with some pace to avoid the hits. He got the ball out instead of trying to make too many plays…which is usually what gets him into trouble. Thinking isn’t Romo’s strong suit. If I were Cowboysfan, I’d hope he played with a broken rib the rest of the season. Maybe they’d have a chance.

The knock on Romo is that he fails in clutch situations.
With zero tds, and one pick, he basically failed seven times, in one game.
Tony doesn’t rank in the top 10, out of 32.
Dallas needed a QB years ago, and still does.
If his excuse, this time, is he was too injured to play, then he shouldn’t have played.
ESPN is making a hero out of a guy who couldn’t go home, because a goal post was in front of his house.

Wow, before the season I thought Shanahan was washing this season to get Luck but now I think he really believes, or believed in Rex. What a mistake (Bears fans will tell you). Meanwhile, the Colts are gonna end up with Luck coming in to learn behind Peyton Manning. Another loss for the Redskins.

Hmm. 11 come from behind victories. Two last minute wins in the last two weeks.

And “key games”… falling to 0-2 or 0-3 would have ended the season. I’d say those were key games. Only 12% of teams that start 0-2 even reach the playoffs, so I’d call those wins “key”.

And NO QB leadership ability is going to make your defense play better and tackle better, or your receivers catch the ball, or your O-line block better.

But you knew all this, you’re just trolling for an argument.

Where do I start about Romo ? The fact that nobody nationally is questioning how bad his “injury” was and that it “heeled” so quickly ? everyday football fans across the country are wondering about it ! And the timing of the “injury” ? the week before (and seasons before) the national guys, and teammates questioned his heart.
The Cowboys front office does a great job each year putting talent around Romo. But he lacks the leadership ability to lead the team thru key moments and key games.
So now, because of this “heart wrenching comeback”, we are all going to have to be subjected to the overwhelming Romo love affair this week.
I feel a migraine coming my way !

I didn’t realize that McNabb and Vick got to the playoffs all by themselves. Wow. That IS impressive. I thought the rules required a center to snap the ball to the QB and you had to have at least 5 guys on the line of scrimmage. Shows you what I know.

You sound like Vick or McNabb took a girl scout troop to the playoffs.

Romo haters need to buy a clue. Romo is all this team has going for them. Without him, they have zero chance. Parcells has been gone for 5 years now, but the only good players on the team are guys that he brought in:

Tony Romo
Jason Witten
Demarcus Ware
Jay Ratliff
Miles Austin

5 years of Jerry’s in charge = 4 failed years of idiot boy (Wade Phillips), T.O. (he’s why Parcells quit), 3 rookies starting on the OL, Martellus Bennet (the ultimate spare), 2 spares playing defensive end, revolving door at safety, Jenkins at corner, a reality star as the 4th wideout. This is not a talented team.

Without Romo, the Cowboys are just like the Vikings without Favre…….pitiful.

Why aren’t people calling for Brady to be cut or traded or replaced? He threw 4 INTs and cost his team the game. Oh, that’s right – he’s not a Dallas QB.

Don’t forget, it’s been a long time since Brady won a meaingful game. I guess he’s over-rated.

Romo better than Mcnapp, or Vice, well yea, your seeing now that T.O. was right about Mcnapp all along and Vice, he can’t read a defense and reverts to running and then gets hurt, Vice won’t make it thru the whole season, thats why the Falcons let him go, and someone wake Mcnapp its game time.

Huh? My QB is named Drew Brees and he has thrown more TDs than Tony Romo over the past four years. From 2007-2010 seasons (last four complete seasons) Tony Romo has 99 TDs. Drew Brees has 129. So to match what Brees threw, Romo (who threw 11 TDs before going out for the season in 2010) would have still needed to throw 30 more touchdowns in the remaining 2010 season to match Drew Brees.

If you want to omit the 2010 season since Tony didn’t get the chance to throw for those 30 additional TDs, from 2007-2009 Romo threw 88 tds, Brees threw 96. (They both rushed for 3 TDs each over those years, too).

So where did you get this “more TDs than everyone except Tom Brady” stat from?

lol @ redskin fans talking about how bad Romo is, i will take a hurt Romo over Rex Grossman any day of the week, Romo showed guts out there, i don’t know of any other job i could preform with broken ribs let alone football, the redskins had every reason and ability to beat the boys, qb hurt, oline rookies, wr hurt or not playing, same for rb, the Cowboys won because of one thing, Tony Romo. you can say all the negative things you want but last nite with the game on the line who preformed, lets just say it wasn’t Rex

And please, stop saying Rex brought his team to the Super Bowl. Stop it. Just stop.

He was a quarterback on a team that made it to the Super Bowl. That’s it.

His completion percentage was 54.6, he averaged 6.7 yards per completion, threw 23 Tds to 20 picks, and lost eight fumbles.
