Good for Hampton, standing up for his principles. Why should he feign interest in visiting the worst resident in the nation’s history? Regardless of how the liberal media fawns over Obama, he’s just another mere mortal. And shady Chicago politician to boot. Arguments about respect for the office of the presidency are just meek liberal propaganda.

Yeah this president was responsible for the near collapse of the auto, real estate, bank, and financial services industry which without government intervention would led to their bankruptcy and have caused a depression in this country and the world. I can understand why Dan does not want to go.. Maybe he already been on a Tour of the whitehouse. He’s older, doesn’t feel like traveling without his family, and he disagrees with his Obama’s view’s.. He is not obligated to go to the whitehouse. re: UN Resolutions… Several UN Resolutions also affirmed the right of member states to bring Iraq into compliance with applicable UN Resolutions regarding it’s disarmament by any means necessary, but to you it’s an “illegal war”.

re: Gitmo… Obama hasn’t closed Gitmo because he’s never had a plan on how to do it. It was just another empty promise made to get you to vote for him. There are some bad people there and no other country wants them. Maybe you should take them in YOUR backyard if you want them on US soil so bad.

As to the debt and unemployment and all that jazz, Obama has eclipsed Bush on all fronts as far as damage to the country is concerned. Wake up.

No one will miss Dan Hampton not being there. It’s not like Mike Ditka, Buddy Ryan, Jim McMahon, Mike Singletary, or even William “The Refrigerator”Perry saying they don’t planned to attend. Hampton’s comments are much ado about nothing. I had forgot all about him anyway — he won’t be the first or last person on a championship team to pass on a White House invitation. Besides, it’s all about recognizing the 1985 Chicago Bears’ championship team — I’m sure the president couldn’t care less if Hampton showed up or not!

Hampton shows what happens to a dumb line man who gets hit up side his head to much.When are in a organization sometimes you go to a lot of things you don’t like the people involved but out of respect for the rest of your group you go.even in the military you don’t always like your commanding officer but you respect his rank if not the man.So Hampton keep your tired behind where ever the hell you are and let the others enjoy and be honored by the President of the United States.So few teams get the honor.
