The agreement between the NFL and the NFLPA regarding the potential imposition of discipline on players arrested during the lockout protected 25 first-time offenders against discipline, but exposed eight repeat offenders to a fine or suspension.

Former Packers cornerback Brandon Underwood is one of the eight repeat offenders. Aaron Wilson of Scout.com reports that Underwood has been suspended two games.

Underwood could advance some of the same arguments that Bengals running back Cedric Benson has articulated in opposition to his three-game suspension. But since Underwood currently isn’t employed, his best bet could be to serve the two-game suspension while unemployed, and then hope to become employed again.

Underwood’s lockout misconduct involved ripping a necklace from his wife on the night the Packers received their Super Bowl rings. Underwood paid a $767.50 fine. He later was cut by the Packers.

Two of the eight repeat offenders -- Titans receiver Kenny Britt and Bucs cornerback Aqib Talib -- were not suspended by the league.
