Brandon Jacobs: Doubters can go back to “miserable lives”

Brandon Jacobs sees a hater lurking in every corner.

Even when things are going well in New York, the team’s backup running back finds motivation in those who don’t believe in the Giants.

“The people outside that want to say they’re fans and don’t believe in us, I couldn’t care less if they ever believed in us,” Jacobs said via the New York Daily News. “They don’t mean anything to us if they didn’t believe in us. They can go back and finish living their miserable lives as they’ve been living and hoping that they lose and whatever.”

Whatever the motivation, Tom Coughlin’s Giants always seem to play better when they are expected to do poorly.

This year’s squad may prove to be a perfect example. New York faces the Cardinals and Seahawks the next two weeks, which gives New York an excellent chance to get to 4-1 and open up an early lead in the NFC East.
