Bucs closing in on a sellout

During last Friday’s NBC SportsTalk (VERSUS, 6:00 p.m. ET), I suggested that a win over the Falcons by the Bucs at home in the team’s 10th straight non-sellout could end the streak of non-sellouts in Tampa.

Surprisingly, that could indeed happen.

On Wednesday, the Bucs were only 2,000 seats away from selling all non-premium tickets and lifting the local blackout of the team’s first Monday Night Football game in Tampa since 2003, when the Buccaneers face the Colts.

There are no new updates today. More information could be coming tomorrow. The 72-hour deadline for selling out the stadium comes at 9:00 p.m. ET Friday.
