Thanks for the effort, but I am fine with letting reality actually be reality (I.e. Actual outcomes). A win is a win in the NFL. You as a packer fan (or whatever team fan) should know that. Last year the Lions were 2-10 at one point, and alot people give them credit for games being close in losses. I don’t give credit for close losses, as a win is a win. The truth is that alot of time is only takes knowing how to win and the confidence to do so, to get a team over the line between mediocre and good.

Say what you want, but the Lions have won 7 consecutive regular season games. That does not mean anything yet, but it does prove they learned how to win close games and have a lot of confidence right now. Here is more “reality” for you …..3-0.

I will guarantee, however, that when reality hits for the Lions & their fans, I won’t say ‘I told you so’ …… This happens almost on a yearly basis where one team (And the fanbase) have an illusion that they are better than they really are …… Remember, the Lions were 2-10 after 12 games in 2010 ….. Solution: Get to Stafford early and often. The only way to stop CJ is to keep Stafford from being able to throw him the ball. I know this is a pretty obvious and simple solution but its the only one that will work.

Well, he was leading the NFL in most stats that year with Orlovsky and Kitna throwing him the ball. He was constantly doubled and sometimes triple teamed as he was the only weapon on a terrible team. Here were his stats that year:

Larry and Andre both had/have fantastic QB’s throwing to them, that ALWAYS helps development of talented WR’s. I suppose you could argue Schaub isn’t fantastic, but he certainly is developed and above average. In fact, both teams had arguably better personal on both sides of the ball than Megatron did, up until this year.

If Stafford stays healthy this year, you’re going to see megatron have comparable, maybe even better numbers than both Andre/Larry. At that point, determining who had a better season is a matter of preference.

As for those saying that the Lions are going to destroy the Cowboys, get a grip. I think the Lions can win, but it will definitely be a close game, and certainly not a guaranteed victory for Detroit. If the Detroit O-line doesn’t shake off the cobwebs and start blocking, both pass and run, better they will struggle to score. The Cowboys may have a shake secondary, but the rest of their defense is pretty damn good.

As a Vikings fan I couldn’t be happier for the Lions. However, do be serious… you finally have a winning record and you guys come out of the woodwork to talk smack? Calvin Johnson better than Randy Moss? Randy Moss was never apart of a 0-16 team. Only a 15-1 and 16-0. Randy changed the game when it comes to the deep bomb. Literally the coolest thing to witness live as well. Oh yeah…if you are going to talk trash on Carter…at least spell his first name correctly. C-R-I-S
