Usually when when coaches and players talk trash and talk themselves up its AFTER big wins or AFTER they’ve proven how good they are in the W/L column. Seems like the Jets have taken the reverse approach to this and they look dumb.

Their traditional aggressive and strong defense we’re used to seeing that constantly has bailed Sanchez out of his horrible play has obviously faltered and just plain isn’t that good. Sanchez is such a grossly overrated QB and I just cannot understand why. He is so careless with the ball, misfires to wide open receivers and turns the ball over in the most boneheaded ways but then the defense bails him out by handing him the ball inside the opponent 20 yard line and we remember the GQ pretty boy and he gets some kind of weird free pass. Ridiculous, Sanchez is just bad QB, period.

The Jets D has been exposed big time in every game played this year(minus the Jags game)…..27, 34, and 34 pts against in the other games.

And Jets fans “can’t wait to play the Pats this weekend” ?? Uhm, good luck.

Brady is lighting up some supposedly solid defenses; averaging about 34 PPG against Miami, Bufallo, San Diego and Oakland.

While their defense is a complete disaster so far, the good news is that the Yet’s offense looks just as bad as the Patriot’s defense.

Don’t think it’s going to be a walk in the park for the Yet’s this Sunday.

In order to rely on a ground and pound offense, you need two things: a quality RB and a dominating O-line. Greene can put in a decent performance every so often, but he’s far from a reliable option. LT can still flash some brilliance from time to time, but he wears down quickly. As for the O-line: big Vlad seems like a big bust so far, they still haven’t found a good replacement for the retired Damien Woody, and Mangold was the one thing keeping that line from completely falling apart. Having said that, it’s not like this O-line is doing all that well at pass blocking either, and Sanchez certainly isn’t someone I’d want to carry my team on a regular basis. Let’s face it, the Jets are going to have to win a lot of games with their defense.
