When Vick was hired, McNabb was still #1, and Kolb was #2. Reid had, at that point, no intention of making Vick anything but a backup.

If you did anything more than run your mouth, you would know that the fans were just as pissed that Vick was hired as the idjits here that call out the Eagles for it. The fan base in Philly was NOT in favor of the hire. Reid made the call. Had he sought fan approval, the Vick hire would not have happened. There are just as many dog lovers in Philly as anywhere else.

Funny watching the Eagle fans here.

When they come back from a 20 point deficit they never shut up.

When they get beat by a team coming back on them from a 20 point deficit they CRY.

The 1-3 start warms the heart of every other team’s fans in the NFL. It’s too delicious to even try & put into words but honestly watching the reaction of Eagle fans is ever better.

No team’s fans deserve it more than Philthy fans.

do people actually watch the games? Vick threw for 400 yards and had an 100 QB rating and an 89 QBR. As for all these mental midgets, other than Ronnie Brown our FA signings have been very good. It’s the non-FA signings that have been awful.

And, for the record:
- The Eagles fans did not start the “D…. T…” nonsense, and 99.99% know that if you tag yourself in this manner, you are giving all opponents bulletin board material. Blame stupid Vince Young.
- Vick could have and would have gone to any other number of teams. Reid seems to believe in redemption, and acted on that belief. An act of bravery when viewed from a certain angle.
- Vick served his time, unlike Irvin, Lewis, and a whole “line-up” of others. Other than Plaxico, who in recent memory could say that? BTW, Vick has been a model citizen off the field. If his coach was Dungy, would you all still be acting this way?
- All teams go through slow starts. I understand the NFC East team fans throwing mud, but Lions or Bills fans? At least the Eagles have been a power in the last 10 years. Or did you all forget that.
- Schemes and coaches fail. Haslett, Phillips, Mora, Mariucci, and plenty that fade into memory had excellent teams that didn’t succeed.
- We rode McNabb forever. We are now seeing (perhaps) that we had the wrong horse all along. And perhaps Vick is not the right QB for this offense.
- Lastly, the Eagle fans. They are intense, yes. They are also rabidly loyal (despite what is written here). They have tolerated 50 losing seasons, endured countless incompetent coaches and players, and still fill the stadium EVERY week. Even Dallas didn’t do that during the dark years. Despite the snowballs and all the rest, they buy more stuff, hold just as many tailgate parties, and fill more “tap rooms” with fans each week than almost any other team. They do not make the player decisions, they do not make the coaching decisions, they do not make the on field decisions, they don’t play QB or corner, they don’t own the team. What they do do is suffer the poor coaching decisions, they suffer the losing seasons, they suffer the crap from other team fans, they suffer from bad calls, they suffer missed 33 yd field goals, they suffer 4th and 1 at the 45 that gets stuffed, they suffered from grinning fools that just threw interceptions. And they come back every week for more.

I’d wager that NONE of the rest of you would. And for those reasons, the Eagle fans deserve better. Here, and on the field.

Even if the eagles screw the rest of the season up they will come back next year and destroy teams. There is 12 game left and I’ll be lookin for all the haters to eat their words when the eagles figure it out. It may be impossible with Castillo trying to run our defense. That is the worst mistake Andy has ever made as a coach. Eagles finish 11-5 or 10-6. Write it down. If not than I’m wrong and I’m adult enough to admit it. Go Birds

Seems as if there are a WHOLE LOT of new football fans posting here who don’t have a clue. C’mon…anyone who has watched in the last decade knows that Philly almost always starts off slow and ugly, but they find a way to turn it on late in the season, when it really counts.

Even as a lifelong Giants fan, theres no way I’m counting them out. They’ll definitely bounce back. There is too much talent on that team to do otherwise.

With careless receivers fumbling…rockie kicker missing cheap shot field goals… new running back purposely handing the ball to the niners at the frigging GOAL LINE…expensive secondary with their heads in the bank… head coach with his head in the cheesesteak joint…what a dream, I mean nightmare!

GB was 3-3 after 6 in 2010 …… They were also 8-6 after 14 in 2010 …..

The season is 16 games long with guaranteed ups & downs ….. I’ll reserve my harshest comments for the Eagles when they lose their 7th of the season …… It’s waaaay too early now …….
