Nick Mangold practicing with Jets

The Jets aren’t messing around this week.

Players were in full pads Wednesday. “Eye of the Tiger” played on the loudspeakers.  Either the Jets are taping a 1980’s sports movie, or they are trying to get fired up for Patriots week.

Nick Mangold’s return to practice with the first team offense will make it easier for the Jets and their fans to get pumped up.  Mangold was in pads, which is a great sign for him being available his week.  Without Mangold, the Jets offensive line just hasn’t been the same.

Plaxico Burres and Calvin Pace both worked to the side without pads as practice started.  Rex Ryan will update their status later.

If he can stay healthy, Mangold’s return is a huge positive for the jets & will certainly improve Sanchez’s confidence/time in the pocket against the Pats secondary.

Will Haynesworth play? and will the jets run (something they haven’t done well so far) or pass (against the secondary that hasn’t done well so far)?

Should be a good game Sunday evening.

Should be playing “living on a prayer” as long as Wayne Hunter is at right tackle, guy is not NFL calibur. Shonn Greene needs to look long and hard in the mirror and Sanchez needs to stop with the rookie miscues. The whole team needs to get their poop together, fast.

Was Jean-Claude Van Damme at the practice as well. No 80’s themed movie can be complete without his heroics.

Good to hear. Looking forward to a great game.

Tom Brady had a real chip on his shoulder during his press conference. He only spoke for three minutes. Sounds like both teams are focused.

best thing about the JETS losing 2 straight (they could/should be 1-3 right now) is that they got humbled!! No loud mouth smack talk leading up to what should be a great game Sunday!! The silence is deafening!

Without Mangold the JETS would have to rely on their D to do all their scoring again…

I grew up and played against nick my whole childhood,he is the BEST center in football i think the jets realize how important he is to their offense. He is also a great guy, hell i think his sister could play better than their backup center!
