Danny Amendola entered the season as the Ram most likely to lead the team in receiving. Bradley Fletcher was expected to be the team’s best cornerback.

We learned on Thursday that both players will miss the rest of the season.

Rams coach Steve Spagnuolo said on PFT Live that Fletcher tore his ACL during practice this week. The team also confirmed that Danny Amendola will be headed to injured reserve. He needs surgery on a torn triceps according to Jim Thomas of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. Amendola was trying to return from his dislocated elbow.

The team has lost their two starters at cornerback (Fletcher and Ronald Bartell) and a key reserve Jerome Murphy for the season. St. Louis’ pass rush has been disappointing thus far, which is going to leave a very thin secondary exposed.
