One of my buddies thinks I need to explain why the change of coaches and the acquisition of a recently released QB would help the team. The answer is, those changes are not designed to correct the roster problems and coaching issues. These changes improve fan expectations in the short term. In the long term the fan can accept the fact that we suck but the owner cares and is doing what he can. Fans will suffer through a number of bad years if the owner is trying. Mr. Ross leaves at half time wit the cash box, which is not the way to build a fan base.

Once again:
Change coaches
Get a new QB (Henne's contract ends at the end of the season)
Let under achieving players go
Discount tickets to local residents

Use the stadium for other events in the off season and open the nightclub 24/7 instead of raising ticket prices!

I believe that the fans just got the back hand slap that followed the slap in the face Mr. Ross gave us when he announced Coach Sporano would be a Dolphin for the remainder of the year. Sage Rosenfeldt is a low bid QB. His selection is a clear indication that management is content with loosing. Maybe they secretly want to "suck for Luck." there is no way of proving or disproving that supposition.

Andy Cohen's article "Not Rnough Difference Makers" sums up the problem. Andy writes in an apologetic tone that we have regressed and cannot play as a team on either side of the ball. We suck so much that Andy couldn't form a proper apology. The real story here is that the owner has done nothing to protect his bottom line. Raining attendance and the loss of revenue from the Marlins will surely affect the bottom line severly. While you and I are thinking W-L record, the boss is looking at the bottom line. The picture is not good!

Mr. Ross is proving that the TV revenue and his celebrity friends are all that he cares about. Watch Tampa Bay and cheer them on while you boycott the Dolphins. The only voice Mr. Ross listens to is his own. Let's see if he can hear the silence of his stadium on game day!

As a Texans fan, I am haunted by that shot.

I actually like Sage aka the guy Favre screwed out of a starting job in 09. He runs a passing offense better than Moore, even though I have to give Moore some credit because after seeing him in college, I never thought he would throw even one NFL pass.

Kent Graham, Dave Brown, DANNY NO ARM KANELL.

First Henne, then down to Moore, and Rosenfels backing up?

That might be the worst three-step talent drop in the history of pro quarterbacking.

C’mon, PFT Nation, gimme a worse three-on-one-team debacle combination of “talent” in the entire history of the NFL.

IM WAITING!

1988 Steelers:

Mark Malone

Bubby Brister

Todd Blackledge

That was good enough for a 5-11 season and last place in the AFC Central that year...

C’mon, PFT Nation, gimme a worse three-on-one-team debacle combination of “talent” in the entire history of the NFL.

Dolphins fans have been down this road too many times to trust in finding or even selecting a solid young QB. Why waste a #1 pick on a potentially stellar QB when there are clearly inferior players available at the low, low cost of a second round pick--or two? I would not be surprised to see the team (regardless of who is coach/GM) pick an OL or DL with their #1 draft choice--even if it is #1 overall. All Miami fans have to do to figure out who the 2012 starting QB will be is to find the worst QB out of the top 7 prospects. That will be our guy in the 2nd or 3rd round.

It's not as huge of a talent dropoff as you think. It's not like going from...lets say for example Peyton Manning to Kerry Collins/Curtis Painter. Career numbers for the trio of quarterbacks you mentioned:

Henne: 61.1 Completion %, 6,662 yards, 29 TD, 34 INT

Moore: 57.9 Completion %, 2,640 yards, 16 TD, 17 INT

Rosenfels: 62.5 Completion %, 4,156 yards, 30 TD, 29 INT

The numbers are quite similar. If you're just looking purely at the numbers, Rosenfels represents an upgrade.
