Your delusional. The tuck rule call was made correctly, according to the rule. You can argue the rule sucks, but not that the refs got it right. Ahem, if you are tryign to say the refs have not made it a pattern to penalize the Raiders more than any team in the league, you are living in denial and it certainly does look like there is a bias towards the Patriots whenever these 2 teams play. See: Tuck Rule. That was the worst call in the history of the league, allowed the Pats to go to a Superbowl they did not deserve and was surely a Raider bowl if you are familiar with the season. There have been 4 other calls such as “The Immaculate Reception” or better known to those who dont live in denial as “The Immaculate Deception”. The refs have kept the Raiders out of 5 Superbowls with 1 blown call in 5 seperate games. Just the facts mam.

What a crock of crap this is. It’s the ref’s that should pay the fines. The call was a delay a game, but yet the two refs in the backfield didn’t do anything to say the play was dead. They stood there like they were in a coma and watched the play happen, and didn’t do anything to stop it. That fine needs to be appealed, and the facemask penalty is a joke. I mean the play was a run between the center and guard, into a mass of humans, where Seymour accidently grabbed a face mask. I mean there was a 15 yard penalty on both of these plays that gave the pat’s seven points

It is also getting a little crazy that people call Brady soft for stuff like this…. did Brady ask for the flag, or the fine? I think not….

I agree that the fine for a facemask is silly, but Seymour needs to reign in the agression a bit on plays involving ANY quarterback.

Lesson here, don’t slam any QB to the ground 5 seconds after the whistle was blown. Brady was motionless and Seymour continued on with the slam…

I agree that many of these fines are bogus, but when you slam a player who has stopped playing after a whistle you deserve a slap on the wrist.

Brady said after the game he wouldn’t have penalized Seymour. Anybody watch the play and see a ref signal the play was dead. If you watched you would see the refs just stood there with arms to the side.

I think the NFL (as well as other major leagues) should implement the following rule: if a player injures another player with what is deemed an illegal hit, then the offending player should be suspended as long as the injured player is out of his teams lineup. I think that would take care of the blatantly illegal hits as well as the worst offenders ( ie James Harrison)

I’m gonna keep repeating myself…

Like I said before, this fining issue is THE most important topic in football today. It’s untenable, it’s ridiculous. Something needs to be done by the owners and players standing together on the issue against Goodell.

The other sorry state of the NFL are the softening rules, turning the game into flag football. Eg, the UFL plays with traditional rules. The NCAA largely plays with traditional rules.

Please let us know when the NFL decides to implement real penalties. Fining Seymour $7,500 is like fining me 75 cents. Nobody cares about fines anymore. Where does all the money from fines go to anyway? College fund for the Goodell family?

Roger Goodell isn’t ruining football because the players aren’t allowing him. Defenders are still hitting quarterbacks the same way they have for years and I’m thankful for that.

The fines are just trying to get the women and young children to actually believe that the NFL can stop the viciousness that is the league.

Quit complaining, Seymour is a dirty player, but he’s just trying to bring “attitude” to the team. I remember he punched Big Ben in the face last season, classy. He’s making 10M per, I think he’ll be fine. We all know the drill by now with these fines, deal with it.
