Mario Williams may have torn pectoral muscle

The Texans will be without receiver Andre Johnson for a while, with a hamstring injury suffered last week.  They could be without linebacker Mario Williams even longer.

Peter King of Sports Illustrated reported during NBC’s Football Night in America that Williams may have a torn pectoral muscle.

Williams, who escaped serious injury a couple of weeks ago, will undergo an MRI to determine the extent of the injury.

The only good news for the Texans is that every other team in the division lost today.  Without Johnson and Williams, however, it could be a challenge for the Texans to hold off the Titans.

That is a good rusher…Campbell didnt have a chance today, and our fortunes changed once Williams went out.

They should still be in the playoffs, but they need another WR. #12 flat out stinks

Not a Texans fan but a Rockets fan and boy I’m shocked that the star player from a Houston team is hurt.

I’m a Jaguars fan, and this surely won’t change our luck. Us and the Colts will be fighting for last place in the division, but the Texans in no way are a lock for the division crown anymore. Titans look just as good as them and could easily steal the division from the Texans. Crazy turn of events

Just when Houston starts to look for real (not counting todays result) they get a terrible break with injuries. Not many teams would be able to cope with losing the best offensive and defensive players.

Thanks for telling us what the injury might be, Peter King. I couldn’t have done that myself.

    Well gosh dammit.

Any sort of idea on how long this injury keeps a player out for? An update on that would be great, thanks

I cannot imagine how painful that is

BOOHOO!!! The Texcants have injuries. Just more built in excuses for a crummy franchise with loser fans that accept losing as an art.

So much hate b1gwin. Did a Texan fan take your lunch money? No true fans like to see their team lose, and none of us like to see our players go down no matter who you support. Last time I checked the fans aren’t the ones out there winning and losing games.

Son of a….well congrats to the NFC West for no longer being the worst division in the league.
