Trying to diagnose the level of an injury suffered by another person is a pretty silly game for those who never went to medical school to play.

This sentence is so much easier to understand if you take “to play” off of the end of the sentence and place it after “silly game”.

Of course I might be playing a silly game since I never went to journalism school.

All of you supporting AP’s statement have obviously NEVER had a knee injury or neck injury. A sprained knee isn’t like a sprained finger. Your knee is super swollen, and hurts like hell. I’e torn ACL’s, meniscus, and sprained my knees. The sprain was just as swollen as when I tore my ACL.

Oh I know it. Been watching this same old story since 1994 (after never seeing them do this 1984-1993, growing up watching LT and Simms).

Coughlin talks the game, but these guys seem to be on 53 different pages whenever we play losers like Seattle.

Fewell paid lip service to stopping the run and it’s been awful since the win vs. STL.

Pass defense wasn’t awful, but giving that slouch 8 for 150 or whatever it was, and the backbreaking TD was embarrassing on the part of Ross and Rolle. It’s like they’re making calls on the fly.

DON’T GET ME STARTED ON KILLDRIVE.

This is an issue because they looked past Seattle to Buffalo. Maybe things would’ve been different with a full deck of players, but the fact remains that they probably should have beaten Seattle with or without them.

Things always get blown out of proportion when teams lose games. Especially when they lose the ones they probably shouldn’t.

As a seahawks fan it would be really easy for me to say “Hah yeah the Giants didn’t take them seriously” so maybe the players sat out.

However aside from the atlanta game, in which they played well for a half, the ‘hawks haven’t really given anyone a reason to think they are anything but a young team on the rebuild.

I guess now the cat is out of the bag and people will begin viewing seattle as a dangerous team to overlook, but prior to this game I wouldn’t blame anyone for doing so, and I certainly don’t blame Tuck for taking the game to get healthy -against our O-line they still had success with 6 sacks.

Fact of the matter is tuck and jacobs especially playing likely wouldn’t have changed the outcome of the game. it just wasn’t the giants day.

Antonio is acting just like Tiki did (and that worked out so well for Barber)…it’s bad form when you go out of your way to bash former teammates. It’s idiotic for anyone- especially a ex jock who, last time I checked, doesn’t have “M.D.” at the end of their name- to diagnose the severity of a player’s injury.

For a player to comment on a player from another team about there injures is plan stupid, also for fans to run there mouth shows how stupid they are. The medical staff tell the team what is what with the player, saying if surgery is not call for they should be out there is stupid on stupid, however the modern social media just shows how stupid some of these players really are, I bet the smart players are embarrass by these fools, so what we have is ” there is no cure for stupid ” to bad they don’t understand when to know when it is not smart to run there mouth, perhaps there momma wouldn’t let them talk at home, or perhaps there coach has the same idea, keep them hidden, and use them only if they keep there trap shut. Bill p.s. Got to love free speech.

Eli is 20-5 in October, and Giants basically never lost 2 in a row in October. Giants WILL NOT lose to the Bills. AP is 100% correct about this subject. You lead by example, a cheerleader is never a leader. Tuck needs to be out there, he’s good at stopping the run.

Justin Tuck is one of the few players who I will never second guess for sitting out a game. If Tuck could play he would play. It’s a neck injury, it’s a not like he slipped and cut himself on a bag from McDonald’s.

Its the trainers, doctors, and coaches call.. Plus with all the acl tears this year I wouldnt risk streesing a sprained MCL and missing the season and hurting your career just to prove you are tough. Same with Tuck, I’ll take a few missed games and coming back 85% strength then playing at 70% aggravating it and being stuck there all season.

Plues Osi, Pierre-Paul, Kiwinuka, and Tollefson (Sp I know) are all capable of filling in the void.

Shut up Antonio. I dont understand how you could publicly bash an ex teammate and friend without even talking to them either.

I tend to not like criticism like this because it’s impossible to feel someone’s phyiscal pain, but MAYBE Pierce knows from being on the Giants that one or both of these guys doesn’t fight through injuries.

Or maybe Pierce works for ESPN…..

AP is one of my favorite Giants of all time, but I have to disagree with him here. Tuck’s played with a torn labrum before so his toughness need not be questioned. I’d rather have these guys sit out now and be ready to go for the stretch run.

I never comment on articles but just had to on this one. If you’re a Giants fan and know anything about this team, you don’t question Justin Tuck. The guy goes 100% every play, every game that he’s in there. This came down to a case of playing and risking aggravating an injury that would otherwise heal given the proper time. It was more important for the defense to get him back as close to healthy as possible then to put him in there for one game this early in the season.
