I was watching one of their first games of the year. A Patriots receiver went up for a catch in the end zone, with a CB draped on him, trying to dislodge the ball. The Patriots receiver fell to the ground and before he even stopped rolling the CB dislodged the ball. At first it didn’t even seem as though they were going to review. Then they realize, wait all TDs have to be reviewed. Then without it even going to 12 different angles in slow motion…Oh they decided upstairs it was a TD. What happened to the Calvin Johnson rule? Calvin pushed himself up with the ball as he was getting off the ground after making the catch. That was an incomplete pass, yet the Patriots receiver who can’t hold on thru the completion of the play with the defender dislodging, that is a TD.

The tuck rule, the illegal contact, the Calvin Johnson rule…all those type rules allow Refs to turn the game to the Patriots.

Note also…they typically do it until the Patriots have the game in hand…then they start throwing some bones to the opponents to make it appear fair.

Not sure how it happens, but the fix is on.

Tons of game-changing calls that benefit the Patriots? You haven’t watched enough Patriot games. In the first half, the refs always make those crucial calls to favor Brady. The 3rd and long that goes incomplete, then the phantom illegal contact, etc. If you are going to beat Brady, you have to beat the Refs as well. Any close game, they will win.

The game I watched yesterday saw BB throw two red flags on calls that went the jets way only to be overturned by video confirmation.

I don’t seem to remember Rex throwing any red flags to question any calls? Why do you think that is ?

I’m no Jets fan, was simply watching objectively. It was maddening.

Sorry Jet fans, absent Revis repeatedly holding him, Welker has another 10+ catch game. Welker got the better of that epic match-up, plain & simple.

O-line that’s hurt, complete overhaul of WR’s but somehow decided to get older, defensive line completely different. Same Sanchez with less room for error since his defense can’t pick him up as well this year.

Offense did not play well but they were not the problem. Jets could not stop the run. 4 sacks and an interception in the end zone are nothing to brag about by Patsy offense. Yes we lost oh well we will see what happens when you come to our place

Unfortunately for the Yets, it may not matter at that point in time. The INT. was cause by Hernandez dropping a pass he usually catches. Hernandez at about 3/4 speed with the knee and Gronk had a serious flu and almost didn’t play. Nobody is bragging about Pats offense, but it appears you’re assumption is there is no room for the injured Pats to improve after putting 30 on the board against your team. I guess you can hang your hat on that.

You lose credibility when you make statements like this. Be happy that your team won and that it was over a hated rival. But Welker did no such thing to Revis who is the best CB in football. At least put your hatred aside to admit that. The question that should be asked is why didn’t the Jets have Revis on Welker man to man all day instead of for just half the snaps (which is when Welker gained his yards).

Right on! Hard for Welker to burn Revis when Revis was holding him by his jersey on every other play as the replays showed.

Andy why should we take plays away? Should we take away that Revis penalty too?
