Tim Tebow makes his first start of the season yet i think it was a good idea to see if he is the future starter so they know to trade Kyle Orton since last season when Tebow started the last 3 games he did fairly good. He needs to work on release and smart throwing and he might make it as a starter he needs to work on that or he will be out of the league in 3 years like 1st overall bust Jamarcus Russell but at least Tebow takes a look at the playbook and does not worry about partying like Russell

Do you know the #1 reason people are tired of hearing about Tim Tebow?

It’s not because of Tebow. It’s you.

Your subjective, blind worship of the guy. Your automatic labeling of anyone who points out tangible concerns about his skillset as “haters.”

It’s ridiculous. It’s going to flame out, just as everyone predicted.

(Unless you think 2-6 for 28 yards and a TD from a screen pass is an exceptional game. You do? Well, that’s telling.)

I think he’d be a great player in the NFL. At tight end. And I would root for him.

I think its much more important to let Tebow FINALLY get all the snaps in practice with the 1s for once, then trying to play tricks on the phins

If elway & fox really wanted tebow to succeed, they would not have announced that he is the starter 2 weeks in advance. Make the fins game plan for both qbs, why not give your TEAM every chance to win. The broncos organization is a damn mess, and thats pretty bad coming from a redskins fan.

Ok…now that we know he will be the starter can we move on until after the next game? I am curious to see how he does as well but I sure don’t think it’s necessary to know when the dude takes a wiz or what he eats for breakfast until they lace them up again….Please?

Broncobillie you nailed it. Look he is went in ahead of Quinn because Tebow is under contract next year not Quinn, and by not starting him they can re-sign Quinn next year as a back up for the same money and cut Tebow if he implodes. Granted I don’t think an 11 game eval is all that fair when you have a lockout between your first 2 seasons, but it should be enough to decide if he is something you want to build on and work with or if you want to start over AGAIN. I just hope they don’t listen to all the ANALYSTS out there and go after Matt Barkley, he is going to be just another USC failure Landry out of OU would be good. but before we get there let’s see what he can do.
Tebow is not going to be an elite QB this year and might never be, but he brings something to this team that Culter and Orton did not. Fire, Passion, Excitement.

FYI – I hated TEBOW during his college career, thought he was overrated. Now in the NFL I think he deserves a chance to prove how good he can be, not be written off, for a throwing motion, or being under center. Which if anyone watched the Lions Bears game on Monday you would know that you can run a spread style offense in the NFL look at the Lions. Matt Stafford is taking 70% of his snaps from the shotgun.

Orton is the one that wouldn’t restructure his deal for the Dolphins. It wasn’t all on the Broncos organization.

Tebow will prove all the haters wrong. He will come out and play some good football and win some games this year for the Denver Broncos.
And I can almost GUARANTEE you that they will not draft a QB next year. Orton will be gone, Quinn will be re-signed as the 2nd string. And Denver will draft a RB in the 1st round, DT 2nd round, and more and more defense.
Tebow will have a full season next year to prove himself.

Tebow couldn’t carry Steve Young’s jock. Young came out of BYU having played QB in a pro style offense and putting up incredible passing stats. He won games using his arm and his smarts. That comparison is ridiculous.

No more smoke, no more mirrors. And if the Bronco’s are playing Tebow to “prove he can’t play like Fox and Elway has said so they can draft Luck” like I read some of you post here, they have to be the most dysfunctional organization of all time, and I’m a Raider fan so I know a thing or two on that subject.

Orton hasnt played as well as he was last year but hes still even after getting benched tied for ninth in the league in td passes .

There are a lot of Qbs not playing well right now especially with turnovers .

Its time for Tebow simply because that defense is gonna stop the team from going anywhere . They are right back to there 28+ ppg from the past few years so you might as well give Tim the time to see what he can do .

the only issue is that the Broncos have a first time playcaller walking the sidelines in Mike Mccoy and hes trying to blend in Josh McDaniel shotgun offense and Foxs rushing attack and he simply doesnt have the experience or ingenuity to pull it off.

Fox and company claimed Orton knew the offense as well as the coaches however you never saw them use that knowledge in the form of a hurry up or no huddle at the start of games to get the team off to a quick start instead you saw a deliberate run run pass . Brandon Lloyd complained about the playcalling prior to the Packers game and they went to him downfield and the offense scored 17 points in the first half against the Pack.

But the very next game AT HOME and they are right back to open the game with run run pass .

It will be very interesting over the next 11 games to see how the blame moves around now that the franchise whipping boy is out of the picture
