Offensive line complaints are trendy in New Jersey

Chicago Bears Matt Toeaina stops run by New York Giants Ahmad Bradshaw in East Rutherford Reuters

Santonio Holmes isn’t the only New York/New Jersey NFL player to be frustrated with his offensive line.

Fox cameras caught Giants running back Ahmad Bradshaw barking at tackle Will Beatty during last week’s game.

“What are you doing, Will?!” Bradshaw yells via Mike Garafolo of the Newark Star-Ledger at one point.

“Don’t yell at me!” Beatty replies.

Soon after that, Bradshaw says, “Crazy! I’m tired of this [stuff]!”

This is pretty normal in-game chatter, and it just shows Bradshaw is a passionate player. But it’s clear the frustration has lingered some.  Garafolo reports that Bradshaw was irate after the game at the playcalling and his offensive line teammates.

Asked this week about Fred Jackson’s success in Buffalo, Bradshaw responded, “You know what? They open up holes for him, man.”

Bradshaw said Thursday that he was just trying to fire up his offensive line during the game.  Beatty says he likes the passion.

“It’s just Ahmad being Ahmad,” he said.

Bradshaw is expected to carry the load this week with Brandon Jacobs looking likely to miss another game. And he hopes to get a better effort from his teammates.

“I believe in my line and they get better every week. Hopefully this week, they’re 10 times better,” Bradshaw said.

I don’t have a problem with some of these worthless linemen getting called out. Skilled players get called out constantly when they don’t perform.

Thank you, Ahmad, for saying what every Giants fan has been saying for years. Gilbribe is the most predictable O coordinator in the league and the O line was simply abysmal against the Bills. No excuses for missing that many blocks and letting guys run right past you. You may, however, want to keep in mind that Beatty is over 8 inches taller and over 100 lbs heavier. Provoke him too much and he may eat you alive. Literally.

he’s right and they need to find a center until Baas gets back becuase they are getting killed up the middle.

As a UConn grad and a diehard Giants fan, it pains me to say this but Beatty sucks.

I’ll take their O-line. They’ve got two guys that are as good as anyone in the league for starters.

I don’t really like the griping but I think he is correct. The O line was awful but Baas is back which is a huge help but I think Snee is out which doesn’t help! Bradshaw also complained about the playing calling. which Holmes did too. The funny thing is, it was the exact opposite of what Santonio Holmes complained about. Where Holmes wants to throw down field more Bradshaw wants 20+ carries a game! Need a big W this weekend AB, go get it!!

Interview Vick if you want to add South Jersey to the list too. Who has a good o-line, the Patriots? At one time the Giants and Jets were regarded as having the best o-lines. There’s like 2 good 0-lines per year, 29 garbage o-lines, and the Bears.

Offensive line play and tackling have been abysmal all season long in the NFL. It’s only going to get worse. They made it so that teams only get to have 1 padded practice a week, and this is what you get. I yearn for the years of Jack Lambert and players of that era.

Best educated state in the country, highest income in the country, 125 miles of ocean beach, and a short trip from Manhattan. There’s actually not much to complain about.

As a Giants fan I hate Tiki but the comments are old and dried out, much like Jerry Jones. Please be more creative. And as much as I also hate the Eagles the “dream team” comments are on their last leg.

I lived in NYC for 8 years. Nobody wants to go to Jersey – its a dump. There is a reason why everybody in the city and most of America make fun of it. Wake up kiddo.

It is a little higher but it’s all relative, our income is higher on average than other states.

You do realize that many of those same people you most likely worked with lived in NJ..? Ever been to Alpine? It’s virtually a who’s who for NYC elites. It NYC is so great why do they chose to live in NJ?

My bad. That was Seattle, not Buffalo. Hope I didn’t just predict the future. Giants are having a tough enough season without me jinxing them on top it.
