Tuck and Jacobs out again for Giants

Brandon Jacobs AP

Antonio Pierce isn’t going to like the following news.

Giants defensive lineman Justin Tuck and running back Brandon Jacobs were both ruled out for Sunday’s game against the Bills. Fullback Henry Hynoski (neck) and guard Chris Snee (concussion) are also out.

Snee’s absence will not help a running game which has become a source of frustration for Big Blue.

    Let’s Go Buffalo!

When was the last time the bills had a winning season?

I don’t think Antonio Pierce will approve.

I think this game against the Giants will be Buffalo’s toughest game so far this season.

We (Bills) haven’t showed that we can win on the road yet. The Giants lead the league in sacks. We have given an average of 400+ yards on defense so far this year.

I think Fitzpatrick is going to have to have a great game in order to walk away from this game 5-1.

    Go Bills!!!!

Yeah, we get it, sandiegobuffalo. Did you really have to post twice? I’ve got 2 words for you – Scott Norwood.

Ugh, not goot news for the Giants. No Tuck = a big day for Fred Jackson.

this Giant story hit the board 45min ago and 1 Giant fan responded. any Eagle story hits and within 5min there are 35 Giant fans posting about how bad the Eagle fans are empty trophy case’s and we have 3 super bowls. the Giant fans are a bunch of phonies.

Disgusting, the number of guys we will have out.

  10. youdownwithjpp says: Oct 14, 2011 4:08 PM

It’s cause this isn’t news. Most Giants fans knew this was the case since yesterday.

And also because every Eagles fan and their mother were praising the Eagles and how they have the best team in the NFL and how well of an off season they had. While cosigning Young’s “Dream Team” label.

Now when we point out how misguided those predictions were and how bad your team is you label us as “phonies”? That’s a little ironic, no? Considering how phony this “super bowl or bust” team is

Gmen still win cant see us losing two str home gmz

  12. tuckyous says: Oct 14, 2011 4:24 PM

Yeah… not too optimistic about this matchup as a Giants fan.

Bills are good this year, I don’t particularly mind losing to them if that happens. Fitzpatrick will be hurting by the fourth quarter though. Either way it should be a whole ton of offense and a fun game to watch.

  13. tuckyous says: Oct 14, 2011 4:26 PM

    @Graymares

    Stop crying.

  14. Mr. Wright 212 says: Oct 14, 2011 5:08 PM

We will miss Tuck the least on Sunday other than any game thus far. The Bills really get rid of the ball quickly on passes, so the pass rush isn’t ALL that big of a deal. The Giants MUST wrap up, because everything is quick and precise with the Bills’ offense.

There are plays to be had against them defensively, and Gilbride can’t wait an entire half (which he’s done all season except against Philly) to open up the play-calling or we will be down 24-7 in no time.

What’s absolutely hysterical about this, for those of you that have not had the displeasure of reading greymares posts in the offseason, is greymares is one of Philly’s leading trolls. Jumps on EVERY Giants post. In the past, he would talk about about how much the Giants “suck”, how Philly beat them 7 straight, how Philly “owns” the Giants, etc. Typical Stars Wars convention, “I live with mommy”, “what’s a girl?” kind of loser. Would write anything and make it as inflammatory as possible , just to get a reaction. But when the Giants BEAT Philly, he was NOWHERE to be found! The “mighty” word warrior of Philadelphia, simply disappeared! Wouldn’t make one post, even when us Giants fans called him on it. He was that gutless. So, if any of you are tempted to respond to any of his hypocritical, misguided, and ignorant posts in the future, just remember you’re dealing with a coward that talks big and disappears when it comes time to face the music.

The way this Giants D is playing, I’m expecting the worst. Bills are playing with a purpose, while the Giants seem to be in cruise control by allowing a horrible team like Seattle make them look like chumps in their own house.

Fred Jackson will have 100+ and 2 TD’s, if not more. Bills will win this game on the ground.

Kills me to say it, but thats how I see it playing out.

No It’s because the eagles are like the popular everyone likes to hate. Other teams don’t bring out the crazies. Talking about a non-story I read here a story about vick canceling a local radio show and that got a huge response

  18. baroneski29 says: Oct 14, 2011 5:43 PM

Coming from a Giants fan. There shouldn’t be any excuses if they lose this game. The players they will have on the field are more than capable of producing. This is a must win, especially with the schedule coming up for the second half of the season. Brutal!!!

  19. gcsuk says: Oct 14, 2011 5:49 PM

As a Giants fan, I must say I’m relieved that no Giants fans are on here like last week saying “No big deal. We don’t need those guys to beat the Bills.” Many fans were saying that about Seattle last week, and look how that turned out.

  20. ctp603 says: Oct 14, 2011 8:02 PM

Down a starting offensive lineman and a capable running back will not help get our ground game back on track. I expect Eli to make a few mistakes, but we need him in the worst way to stay calm and gut this one out. This is going to be an aerial assault on both sides all day.

    And that being said..
    Wide right.
    XXV

  21. rabidbillsfan says: Oct 14, 2011 8:47 PM

FYI- Gmen, The Buffalo D has had 3 straight games with 2 or more picks. Eli regressed to his “Turnover Machine” days against a a Seattle team that doesn’t seem as oprotunistic as the Bills. Brandon Jacobs, I thought, was going to be your best bet to run the ball on the Bills. Your secondary is still quite shaky, as well as your LB corps, which is where FJ will be spending most of his day, at the second level. I am very glad you cling to a missed fieldgoal, because you were outplayed in that game!

  22. Mr. Wright 212 says: Oct 14, 2011 9:03 PM

One game out of five and this pantywaist is talking about “regression”.

    Amazing.

The only real INT was the first one. GOODNESS. Bills are good for the first time in over a decade and they come out trash talking like they weren’t the laughingstock of the AFC East since 1999.

Ever heard of the Dallas Cowboys?

i think the bills can win this week, but l also think the gmen can win…. in no way should this be a gimme for either team…
im sorry tuck isnt playing because as a football fan, i love watching him play… inside or out… he is one guy id want on my team..
as far as the trashtalking on here…. please neither team is good enough to do much of that, but please why are eagles fans commenting on a post regarding the bills and giants….

good natured ribbing between us and them is fine but eagles fans, u have enough to worry about … although if vick whines once more, there will not be another holding call on the eagles this year….

  25. kkickflip says: Oct 15, 2011 11:16 AM

I don’t know what to think about this game. Both the Giants and Bills have some tough injuries so it’s gonna be a close one. I’d like to see Fitzpatrick give a better performance than he’s had the last couple games. He’s been efficient but not much else. The play calling hasn’t given him much else besides short yard calls lately though, especially in the Eagles game.

  26. phillygiant says: Oct 15, 2011 11:26 AM

for all you Bills fan, just in case you forgot or were to little to see Superbowl XXV, yea we won that game with OUR BACKUP QB..or you can say Norwood won it for us…but this game should be interesting… we both have a lot of injuries, i think personally the Giants injuryies are by far bigger a than the Bills, but we should be able to pull out another W!
