Getty ImagesThe Patriots signed defensive lineman Marcus Harrison on Friday. On Saturday, the Pats bid Harrison farewell.
Mike Reiss of ESPNBoston.com reports that the Pats have cut Harrison and elevated cornerback Sterling Moore from the practice squad. When signing Harrison, the Pats cut cornerback Phillip Adams.
As Reiss points out, the decision to dump Harrison suggests that one or both of the teams defensive tackles listed as questionable for Sunday’s game against the Cowboys — Albert Haynesworth (back) and Kyle Love (back) — will be able to play.
Harrison, a third-round pick of the Bears in 2008, will now pass through waivers. If unclaimed, he’ll become an unrestricted free agent.
UPDATE 5:45 p.m. ET: The team has announced the move.

GO GET HIM JERRY (Reese)!
You didn’t offer your own opinions!
(“We bet it’s Haynesworth”)
Did he even unpack yet?
Who knew having no work ethic wouldn’t work out in the NFL
Hopefully they bought the guy dinner for making the trek up there. Cruel business.
Sterling moore is a good one. We’ll see what I he does with his shot
They didn’t really cut him – they just couldn’t find him.
In other news, Haynesworth has been put on probation again by the HR department for eating teammates.
I wonder how much he got paid for 1 day.
One would think the Pats were playing the Bears this week!
Haynesworth? He won’t last the whole game without taking a dive.
Panthers did the same thing to him. He can’t pass physicals.
Wow so they sign him then cut him hopefully there was a bonus so he gets something
.
This could lessen his chances for the Patriot’s Hall of Fame.

” Wow so they sign him then cut him hopefully there was a bonus so he gets something”
He did get something…. A nice hot slice of Humble Pie.
If The Pats had not given up a draft pick for Big Al he would have been shown the door by now.
After a quarter of the season multiple his 2 tackles and one QB hurry by four and there you have his season totals:
8 tackles, 4 QB hurries, 0 sacks and a lot of shame on both sides.
They’re screwing up his resume’.
Wow. I went to the website to try to get the jersey, but it wasn’t up there! Damn!!
Wish the Raiders could have kept Moore. He has good backup potential.
