Tashard Choice could be available

Bobby Carpenter, Tashard Choice, Amari Spievey AP

As the trade deadline approaches on Tuesday, we’ve thrown out an extra-wide net in the hopes of catching any and all possible rumors regarding guys who may be available.

One guy who may be available is Cowboys running back Tashard Choice.

Choice, currently the No. 2 tailback behind Felix Jones, has only 21 carries for 53 yards in four 2011 games.  He’s in the final year of his contract, making him an unrestricted free agent in 2012.

If Choice goes, rookie DeMarco Murray would move up one spot.  Murray has gotten only 14 carries, gaining only 39 yards, in his first NFL season.

It’s unknown whether Choice actually can be had, or what the Cowboys would want for him.

I would hate to see Dallas lose Choice. At the same time he isn’t being used.

With Blount on the shelf for a lil bit, we could def use him in Tampa.

On another note, has anyone noticed that with all the hype that comes from Philadelphia, they have yet to hoist a Lombardi? I LOVE IT as no fanbase deserves to suffer more!!

Trade him for Brandon Lloyd- straight up

I wonder if he’ll ask Brady for his autograph after the game.

Could be a decent pickup for TB with Blount out for awhile. He could start for a couple weeks then be a nice change of pace back. Too bad they aren’t smart enough to make moves that can help. They’re too worried about drafting people who may or may not pan out.

Blountforce what fan base are you talking about son???? It’s funny I’ve been an eagles fan my whole 30 yrs on the planet an we don’t have blackouts, we are truly the finest fans in the world win lose or draw we are at our games supporting our team. There is a bad reputation due to the local media who trash the team on the regular. Big whoop the bucs won a title they also have a winless season and the Fakest flakiest fan base in the country. Hopefully one day the league comes to it’s senses and detracts the bucs. Maybe the UFL or cfl wi take them. Steelers nation is not looking so hot this year.

To the point of the article choice would-be a good pick up for a team that needs a halfback. If given the chance to play I think he could make a name for himself.

Whoever trades for him will be making a good Choice.

The votes are in. Your QB is a repeat sex offender, your team just came off a bad Super Bowl loss and your team is struggling this year. Maybe having a rapist under center isn’t the best – Karma, it’s a you know what. Haha. Stings, doesn’t it, kid?

Even knowing how much I hate the cowboys Im glad that choice is ready to go i loved to see him in college it hurt me when he went to the cowboys this a good back that helps the running game mostly up the middle its pressure of the passing game

    @typicaleaglesfan

I’m an Eagles fan myself, but maybe people in tampa have a negative opinion of Eagles fans because of what some of them yelled at Joe Jurevicius about his son. If you don’t know what i’m talking about, google it.

That’s funny. He said Steeler and Nation in the same sentence. Another Ken Stabler love child gone wrong.

I remember about Joe jericisious’s son and that’s harldly the majority of eagles fans. Been to plenty of games. Know our people aren’t a majority of douche bags. Every city has them.

I never said the eagles were on the way to superbowl but I’m pretty sure the steelers aren’t on their way this year. Hopefully the eagles turn it around.

On the Choice matter. I love Choice but he is not being used and Dallas has DeMarco Murray and Phillip Tanner (who has shown he can get tough yardage).

Choice is being under-utilized and he deserves a shot somewhere else.
