As the trade deadline approaches on Tuesday, we’ve thrown out an extra-wide net in the hopes of catching any and all possible rumors regarding guys who may be available.
One guy who may be available is Cowboys running back Tashard Choice.
Choice, currently the No. 2 tailback behind Felix Jones, has only 21 carries for 53 yards in four 2011 games. He’s in the final year of his contract, making him an unrestricted free agent in 2012.
If Choice goes, rookie DeMarco Murray would move up one spot. Murray has gotten only 14 carries, gaining only 39 yards, in his first NFL season.
It’s unknown whether Choice actually can be had, or what the Cowboys would want for him.
