Jason Campbell suffers shoulder/collarbone injury

A day to remember in Oakland had turned mildly forgettable, at least for now.

Quarterback Jason Campbell has left the game with an upper arm injury to his right (throwing) arm.  It appears to be either a shoulder or a collarbone injury.

Campbell is heading to the locker room for further evaluation.

Kyle Boller has replaced Campbell.  It’s hard not to wonder whether Terrelle Pryor would be No. 2 on the depth chart if he hadn’t been suspended five games to start the season.

If Al Davis were still with us, I think he’d pull strings to get Pryor in with his speed.

    The curse of Aaron Curry?

Pryor will start within two weeks if Jason is done… Hue will find a way to get him in… Boller is not the answer

Kyle Boller? What is this, 2004?

David Garrard bout to get his phone blown up!!!

Based on Boller’s (he’s still in the NFL?) career to date, gotta wonder how soon before Pryor is named the starter…

“David Garrard bout to get his phone blown up!!!”

It was only a matter of time before Campbell got hurt.

I feel bad for Campbell. He’s having a decent year, and the Raiders look tough.

If our defense doesn’t win this game we won’t win

Wow – u Raider fans that think Garrard would not be a great pick up if JC is out for the year don’t know your football. Way better than Boller and Pryor and he knows how to hand the ball off to a great running back, he can run and throw short passes. He will still get you to the playoffs, so get your head out you @$$ and realize that this would be a GREAT move if JC is out for year

  16. jmo4404 says: Oct 16, 2011 6:05 PM

Oh and not to mention Garrard is a smart QB who will not lose game for you – Raiders have a great DEFENSE and a smart qb will allow a playoff run to happen

  17. raiders4life says: Oct 16, 2011 6:07 PM

Not good, Raiders aren’t deep all at the QB position. If Jason Campbell goes down for an extended amount of time, it could potential derail the Raiders run @ the playoffs. Get well quick JC.

Wow … some people actually think that the Raiders are a good team because of Jason Campbell?
Any average QB would be 4-1 or 3-2 with the Raiders.
Relax … as long as Boller doesn’t make any mistakes the Raiders will win.

Hue Jackson is a great coach

Boller lacks Campbell’s accuracy. Not that Campbell is amazing.

  21. dafixisin says: Oct 16, 2011 6:39 PM

Early reports are that Campbell’s collarbone is broken.

The Terrell Pryor error is underway (gulp).

Just in time for cheater Pryor to take over. Can’t the league extend his suspension for the rest of the season and then see if the Raiders wasted their pick then instead of now.

  23. iownyou2 says: Oct 16, 2011 6:51 PM

Maybe Pryor can get another coach to step down…
