Though the Raiders haven’t launched a G.M. search and have no timetable for doing so, new owner Mark Davis is relying on some old friends of the franchise for some short-term help.
Adam Schefter of ESPN reported earlier today, and we’ve confirmed, that Mark Davis is receiving advice from John Madden, Ron Wolf, and Ken Herock.
As a source with knowledge of the situation tells PFT, there’s nothing formal in place. Instead, they are operating in their capacity as long-time friends of the family.
As Schefter also has reported, they are recommending consideration of Packers director of football operations Reggie McKenzie for the position of G.M. Again, the process remains in its infancy, and its unlikely that McKenzie would be hired without consideration of other candidates.
