Rams lose Saffold, Cadillac late against Packers

The Rams season figured to get uglier in Green Bay Sunday and that’s exactly what happened.

They were blown out by the Packers and lost two key players late to potentially serious injuries.  Cadillac Williams, who was getting plenty of snaps at running back, was carted off the field in the fourth quarter with a knee injury.

Soon after that, Rams left tackle Roger Saffold limped off the field with an ankle injury.

Packers appeared generally disinterested and certainly didn’t play well overall. But they won comfortably and gave the coaches plenty of reasons for lectures. On to Minnesota or Detroit or LA or wherever it is we play the Vikings.

My goodness ….. dropped passes today killed drives. Makes me wonder how we’ll hang on to really, really cold footballs if we’re blessed with a couple of Lambeau playoff games in January.

But … the defense has checked in during the last 7 quarters of football. What is it …. three points in roughly 7 quarters of football? If we can keep that up, I’m fairly optimistic about the balance of the season.
