Sean Payton suffers knee injury on sideline hit

Sean Payton AP

On a day that hasn’t had as many noteworthy injuries as usual, one of the biggest names to suffer a knee injury was Saints coach Sean Payton.

Payton was hit along the sidelines by tight end Jimmy Graham early in Sunday’s game against the Buccaneers.

Payton is now coaching from the bench, with his knee stabilized.

The Saints lead, 7-3.
