UFL may not be able to play title game

The UFL will be announcing on Monday plans to scrap the last two regular-season games and fast-forward to the title game.

But the UFL could have a hard time getting some of the players to show up.

A source with knowledge of the situation tells us that the players won’t be getting paid for the final two games that won’t be played. Also, players have been told that they’ll need to pay their own freight for their trip home.

As a result, some agents are advising players for the participants in the championship game -- the Las Vegas Locomotives, coached by Jim Fassel, and the Virginia Destroyers, coached by Marty Schottenheimer (pictured) -- to simply not play in what very well could be the last game the UFL ever plays.
