Trent Edwards is the play, as a backup.

Boller has been with Hue since Balt. He knows the system, he has the big arm that can make all the throws.

Maybe, just maybe he has matured enough that he run this run first offense.

Who knows Boller may be this generation’s Jim Plunkett.

Orton, Garrard, Palmer, Jake Delhomme, Marc Bulger, Brett Favre.

These guys are ALL better than Kyle Boller. The Raiders have to make a move here. ANY move. ASAP.

You sure about that? I don’t watch a lot of Raiders games so I know nothing about your offensive scheme, but there’s a reason that starting quarterbacks aren’t moved at the deadline. It’s tough to waltz in Week 6 and learn the playbook well enough to be effective.

IMO there aren’t going to be any trades. Already too few picks for next draft. Sign a FA to hold the clipboard, fast-track Pryor to #2 and roll with Boller. This isn’t a SB team YET so selling the farm isn’t likely. Pryor isn’t Russell – I’ve heard him speak and he can coherently string a sequence of words together. And I don’t see any packs of skittles hanging out of his pants either.

If Orton at all has any chance to play and play ok. He would need to go to a dominate Defensive team. When he had a good record with the Bears the D was great. When Denver was 6-0 they were playing great even though they were bad. If any team trades for him shame on them and good for Denver. Plus he needs beasts at WR that can YAC. He has poor arm strenght and can’t hit the small slot’s in stride. Statue in the pocket and minimul leadership skills.

That saying I would love to face him twice a yr. Go get him Oak.

Haha Jeffo George and his Mullett and stash would be awesome.. Maybe should call the porn star Jeff Hostetler.

hmm maybe Orton career will sky rocket like Rich Gannons career did when the Chiefs traded him to the Raiders.
Either way the 3 QBS available are good enough to play a few weeks until Pryor gets ready..
Palmer,Garrard,Orton
None of these guys will be a raider more than a year.

The way McNabb refused to be traded to Oakland and chose Washington instead, a couple years ago, which caused instead Jason Campbell to come from Washington, if I were a Raiders staffer I would turn my back on him — not to mention his declining skills.

Too early to thrust Pryor into the starting line-up, with 10% knowledge of playbook, no chemistry yet with receivers, plus it would severely limit Hue Jackson’s play-calling, having to go vanilla again. Pryor is someone who could be a long-term answer.

With the 4-2 season currently, and a legitimate shot at playoffs there, we’ll need a pro-bowl type of vet QB. Boller isn’t good enough to take a team to the playoffs etc.

As unrealistic and contrary to what I said above, it’d be kinda cool to see Lechler doing a Blanda, punting and starting QB, an “only the raiders” thing, old-school style. He’s probably better than Boller.

There’ll be ideas like Favre, Garrard, Orton, etc.

Above all, it’s a very interesting conundrum to land on Hue’s lap, given Pryor’s activation, Campbell gone and off-contract next year, Boller being Boller, Palmer being off-limits and Raiders short on draft picks and needing to hold onto next year’s first rounder.
