The Browns had trouble generating any rushing attack against the Raiders on Sunday and Peyton Hillis’ hamstring injury was part of the problem.

Hillis will have an MRI on Monday after hurting his hamstring against Oakland. Hillis hurt himself on his second run of the game, but remained in the game for the rest of that drive. He carried the ball four more times overall, finishing with just 14 yards on six carries, and spent most of the rest of the game on the sidelines. Montario Hardesty managed 35 yards on 11 carries, but did such a poor job in pass blocking that Hillis was back in the game to try to keep Colt McCoy upright in the fourth quarter.

Hillis has had the kind of year that makes you believe the Madden curse exists. He missed a game with strep throat, got accused of missing the game because he hasn’t gotten a new contract and now comes the hamstring problem. He has 211 yards on 60 carries for the year
