With either Beck or Grossman we honestly can’t expect to compete with the GBs or the NEs. So this argument doesnt matter to me.

What I have seen so far is the pieces we have gotten are working. The D looks young and much improved. We still have work to do but a big improvement from previous years.

The O line is getting better and we have options at RB. We need to address the QB situation and WR situation to be a serious contender. I think we will be a 6-9 win team this year so I think we are out of the Luck and Blackmon sweepstakes but I like the direction we are heading.

But lets be honest, we are not there yet so this argument isn’t that big of a deal.

When Grossman isn’t throwing more balls to the other team than to his team, yeah, he hits his receivers for good yardage. But averaging almost 2.5 turnovers per game (with those lost fumbles included) he’s more dangerous to his team than he is to the opposition.

Since Passer Rating isn’t always a sure indicator of actual performance, let’s look at the other stats: 29th overall pass completion (55.8%), 22nd in yards/attempt (6.9) and touchdowns (6). With yesterday’s performance, even his best stat, Yds/Game, is 22nd (226).

Grossman “won” the starting job this year when Beck had “one bad game” in the pre-season. By those standards, Beck should have started 3 games already so far.

Rex Grossman isn’t the worst QB in the league, but he’s way the heck down in the bottom third (at best).

Vick and Brady earned their “keep the start after 4 INTs” because those were anomalies in their careers (as opposed to just barely worse than average performances; Rex in his career averages over 1 INT per game played (49:46), more INTs than TDs (same ratio) and 0.4 Fumbles lost/game played), and because they’ve thrown more TDs than INTs even with those picks. Career averages for these two? Brady: 0.75 INT/G, 277:111 TD/INT. Vick: 0.6 INT/G, 101TD/66INT.

Using Rex Grossman’s name in the same context as Brady and Vick should only be done in the context of identifying them all as people getting paid to be NFL quarterbacks.

And, of course, we know how many Super Bowl starts Vick has. And he hasn’t even won a playoff game since ’04.

But we know who’s a star, right? Woohoo!

Second who cares what he wants when he spends the money and buys a team then he can say what he wants and it means something

Who did they both throw those picks to? Who do the skins play soon if not next? Buffalo. Could be some thinking behind this.

Remember the Brady Quinn/Derrick Anderson back and forth when Mangini was coaching Cleveland? Or Vince Young/Kerry Collins in Tennessee? Switching quarterbacks early and often never works. Whomever they decide to pick needs to finish up the season (barring injury), and given that Grossman has already won 4 games, this seems like a no-brainer to me. Shanahan will prove how much of an idiot he really is on Wednesday if he announces that Beck is the starter.

Beck is on the bench for a reason. He just isnt that good. Yes he can scramble but he also cant throw the ball down the field more than 15 yards. If Beck was any good he would still be on the Ravens or Dolphins roster.

Santana actually has a good point, in a weird looking way! Two interceptions were actually fred davis’s fault…….if he comes away with either of those catches its a totally different ball game! On the other hand, same rule applies if Rex gets those balls out when he had receivers behind the defense

Fred Davis’ fault!! Wow, I’m a huge skins fan, but I’m not disillusioned either. Rex tries to squeeze these throws into double and triple coverages, and Fred was tightly covered on both interceptions. Rex thinks he has the arm to put his passes into tight spaces, and is hurting this team by continually trying to do so. He just does not have the ability to do this, and the receivers only run the routes that are called. Rex can’t keep guessing where his receivers are going to be, and throwing them under the bus for his weak arm. Get real dude! Rex is not a NFL caliber QB, bottom line!!

So how many times has Vick been in the Superbowl?

Is that the same number of Superbowls that the Eagles have?
