Well, receiver Santana Moss apparently has little pull with his coaching staff.

Moss thinks quarterback Rex Grossman should continue to be the starter. Coach Mike Shanahan and offensive coordinator Kyle Shanahan disagree. Adam Schefter of ESPN reports that Shanahan has informed the Redskins that the team is going with John Beck.

Schefter says that a player texted the information after the meeting with Shanahan.

So much for the allegation that Schefter unreasonably protects sources. If the Shanahans didn’t want the information to be disclosed publicly, the Shanahans won’t be happy that someone on the team has loose lips. Or thumbs.

Grossman was benched Sunday after throwing four interceptions. Beck, who wore a mechanic-style shirt with his name on it after the game, won’t need a name tag if he can get it done for the 3-2 Redskins.
