I fully support breast cancer awareness, but don’t you think the pink with the uniforms is a little much? I can see them doing it for a game or two, but for the whole month is a little crazy. I’m also waiting for the league to promote prostate cancer awareness month at some point.

CB Tramon Williams confirmed he had been fined $5,000 for a uniform code violation regarding the yellow shoes he wore on Sunday. He said he did not know that the shoes weren’t allowed and that he has not been fined for wearing them in previous games.

I assumed players could where shoes that were the same color as their uniform. There is yellow on the jersey, what color were they supposed to be?

He is also missing kneepads. Thats $10k per missing kneepads. I imagine kids will see he is not wearing kneepads and feel they can do so as well. So much for personal safety.

The NFL should pick game weeks – don’t care how they decide – when both teams should wear the throwbacks for the game. It loses its intended effect when only one team wears them.

Well it could have been worse. Matthews could have followed AJ Hawk’s lead and flipped the bird and drawn a bigger fine. But that was all just a big misunderstanding, you know.

the league is expecting to sell those throwbacks? Packer fans, do you guys buy those things? The packers have one of the coolest uniforms in the league IMO, why would you want one of those nasty throwbacks?

Other teams, like the Patritos and Chargers, should switch to the throwbacks full time. But the PAckers’ ones are terrible.

Yeah I cant believe this bs. Two coaches almost get into a fight and they get no fine. But matthews
Wears the wrong shoes and gets a 5000 dollar fine. Ok 5000 is probably nothing for him but be fair. The commish needs to step down.

and i say again, why o why do these fines dominate football discussions? this is what roger is reducing our game to. all about dollars with that guy. he couldnt care less about the game. shipping games over seas because of the money they can make, allowing fans to attend SuperBowl Media day (after purchasing a ticket of course), fines for just about any and everything up to and including what color shoes you wear. does his shoe color somehow threaten the integrity of the game? the only thing threatening the integrity of the game is him.
