For any of the people who are commenting that there could be a problem with Palmer’s elbow, I guarantee you that he went through a full physical with special attention towards his elbow and knee.

He passed his physical therefore Hue’s saying he’s healthy and has his arm after having watching him zip in practice.

Leave the hate out of the this, simply put the Raiders and Bengals medical staff have him healthy. If they have him healthy, then any fan on this site can’t think otherwise.

For those comparing Palmer to Cassel there is no comparison other than they both went to USC. Cassel couldn’t overtake Palmer or Leinart therefore you aren’t comparing apples to apples. Cassel is a poor man’s Palmer when he’s on and a poor man’s Leinart when he’s not.

Seriously? The lame ass nicknames are getting borderline retarded.

It’s the Raiders vs. the Chiefs on Sunday and it should be a good game. It’s been one of the best AFC West rivalries to date (regardless of the team’s records because both hate each other).

Regardless of who is starting under center for Oakland, the Raiders will probably go run-heavy anyhow.

At this point in his career Carson Palmer is a pick 6 waiting to happen. The Raiders needed a QB who wont turn the ball over on the regular. This is the same reason why the Jets cant win with Mark sanchez as the QB. When you rely on defense, the running game and tiring out your opponent with smashmouth football, the last thing you want is a guy who is going to be careless with the football. I honestly think they were better off with a mediocre at best David Garrard. Less turnovers and they wouldnt have had give up the draft picks

All of you Raider haters gotta understand that Hue is the real deal. Look at what he has done for the Raiders already. After that whining baby Rivers and the Bolts get smacked by the Jets and we demolish the Chiefs we will be in 1st place in our div. We don’t need Palmer to make big plays that is what Dmac is for. All we need to do is have Palmer air it out to our stud wr’s on play action. All the Raiders have been lacking is a coach with balls and a white Qb. What else is Hue supposed to say, “hey, Carsons arm is shot and he can’t throw 20 yards.” No idea why this is even an article, what coach has ever traded for a QB then said he sucks?

Nonetheless his raiders legacy and career rides on Carson and so do the raiders for the next 5 years. I believe it was a horrible trade, but the only way it pays off is if the raiders make the SB.

For those that believe Carson Palmer’s going to fail in Oakland based on his recent history in Cincinnati, take a look at how Jason Campbell was performing in his nearly two years in Oakland compared to what he did in Washington. Hue Jackson transformed Campbell into a more reliable QB something he’ll do with Palmer as well.

Palmer and Hue already have a great relationship. Hue isn’t going to stand for a lot of mistakes and will make sure Carson’s on the same page. He pulled Campbell to prove a point and will pull Carson if he’s slinging it w/o regard thus causing stupid INT’s.

The difference is Hue Jackson never ONCE said Carson was starting on Sunday. Al Saunders made a joke that if Carson was breathing he would be starting, but Hue himself never committed one way or another.

With the Chiefs record, and the Raiders run defense, why not start Boller? I don’t think people understand how difficult it can be to come in and learn a system in just a few days. The Raiders still should get a win (although the Chiefs are always capable of an upset) and this way Palmer will have almost three solid weeks to learn the system.

I know some Raider fans might disagree, but Jason Campbell just isn’t that good. Palmer is a huge upgrade.

You say a guy talks too much when the headline is based on his answer to a question? Come on with that. You’re not sick of Huge Action, you’re sick of the media covering him.

The Raiders are young. The Raiders have been losing for a long time (other than last year). Having an energetic, enthusiastic coach, that is excited about his team really helps a youngish team that hasn’t had much success, like the Raiders. Without enthusiasm, confidence, or belief, the Raiders do not win the games against NYJ, HOU, and maybe even DEN. Hue brought these things back to Raider Nation. Will it last and be consistent? We’ll see. But to deny it is not a step in the right direction for a much maligned team is just letting subjectivity get in the way of objectivity. Look no further than the 1st place Buccaneers.

Why would this not be a concern? Palmer’s been having various issues for half a decade. I understand Hue wants him for familiarity, but he grossly overpaid for a mediocre QB and its going to bite this franchise in the butt badly.

Raiders going to the Super Bowl? Don’t make me laugh. They’ll be lucky to make it through the wild card round. DMC is great, but you have a terrible mismatch between your QB and your WRs, and this is a QB coming into a new team and a new system halfway through a season, when he hasn’t played football in a good nine months. You gambled your future on someone who won’t be able to deliver. Carson Palmer is 0-2 in the playoffs and has been preforming poorly for years with a great receiving corps. Why would Oakland’s useless track stars revive this?

I love Hue Jackson, but this was an awful trade.
