This is the same attitude every player in the NFL has and SHOULD have.
Unbeatable? Look at your record you fool! First off, why are you the only one on your team to spout off? Even your idiot owner isn't saying too much as of late. Few things here.

1. You can't be unbeatable if you QB makes stupid decisions. Even when you were up by 3 scores, he found a way to lose it for you guys.

2. You have no running game to speak of at the moment so how will you even open up the pass game if you tried?

3. You are barely a veteran in this league that has yet to be a part of a playoff win let alone a pro bowl, so please don't act as if you have the right to speak with such confidence.

4. You have the best team in the league in your conference that could be undefeated (Packers) and if you think you are going to role into Lambeau in January when it is 5 degrees out you better check that ego. The Cowboys will have a hard enough time getting into the playoffs to even think of this scenario though.

Just shut up and become relevent before spouting off. Also, if you can't even keep Deion Sanders as a mentor, you probably aren't smart enough to make such bold statements. Clown!!

Cowboy fan myopia at its best.

Uh, guys...

...every team that loses "beats itself" in some way. Be it a turnover or an inability to execute or gameplan. Generally losing teams do things to "beat themselves." You can explain every bad play, mistake, turnover, missed field goal, bad snap, overthrown ball, underthrown ball, fumble, missed tackle, penalty, bad route, missed assignment as "beating yourselves." So basically every possible negative outcome in football could be interpreted as "beating yourselves."

The problem with this line of thinking, however, is that it ignores the superior gameplaning and execution of the team's opponent, which in the case of the Cowboys has been a major component to their misfortune. For example, Revis jumping that route in the Jets game, knowing the call from the moment they lined up. For every single instance of Cowboy ineptitude, you can point to another instance of their opponents simply being better in that instance.

What if we apply the same reasoning to your two wins? It is pretty obvious right now that the Cowboys aren't a better team than the 49ers, yet because the 49ers had two massively blown coverages the Cowboys walked out with an OT victory. Did the Cowboys win or did the 49ers beat themselves? By your logic, the 49ers simply beat themselves (and I think that particular game could be the best possible argument for your ridiculous assertions, despite it being your opponent's miscues and not your own).

Cowboy fan myopia lives again.

Dez, Unbeatable means you can't be beat. Clearly Dallas can be beaten as they have been 3 out of 5 times this year. Part of being "unbeatable" is not beating yourselves. It doesn't matter how you lost......YOU LOST!!

If you think you are unbeatable from hear on out theyn you had better end the season with a 13-3 record and go on to win the Super Bowl. If you don't accomplish all that then you will be "WRONG".

I'm guessing at some point in the near future you will be proven wrong.

Sincerely,
A New York Giants Fan

Dez, Unbeatable means you can’t be beat. Clearly Dallas can be beaten as they have been 3 out of 5 times this year. Part of being “unbeatable” is not beating yourselves. It doesn’t matter how you lost……YOU LOST!!

If you think you are unbeatable from hear on out theyn you had better end the season with a 13-3 record and go on to win the Super Bowl. If you don’t accomplish all that then you will be “WRONG”.

I’m guessing at some point in the near future you will be proven wrong.

Sincerely,
A New York Giants Fan

I love this excuse. "Take away all those mistakes we made, we would have won!".

Genius, that's how all games are lost. Mistakes on coverages, mistakes on playcalling, etc. Just mistakes. By you. That the other team takes advantage of. That's how they won. You don't hear winning teams say "Take away all those good plays we made, and we would have lost!" Mainly because, DUH.

You can't take away the mistakes and call it a win. Not only is it a stupid comment, but it's completely disrespectful to the other team.

I believe many of you understand what I'm about to explain, but more of you won't. For the record, I think a good number of folks in the media understand this already: Comments such as this from Dez Bryant drive controversy, page hits, ad revenue..... with me? That being said, neither the Cowboys, their owner or their coach give a crap what any of us think, ultimately. Maybe Dez cares, not sure (he's not a genius with the media). That being said, if I were coaching the Cowboys, I'd be please at Dez's mindset, I really would. I am not a Cowboys fan, I'm a Buccaneer fan. I have played the game as well as coached. "Statistics are for losers" means different things to different people. Crazy, hit-inducing comment from a media perspective, but "the past is in the past, it can't be changed, so all that matters is the NEXT game" is ultimately the reasoning. Again, the coach that can foster this attitude, this feeling that us FANS and outsiders might believe is CRAZY, is a WINNER. He is doing his job to perfection. Being able to create this confidence is what allowed a Bucs team drubbed 48-3 come out and beat the Saints, who many were calling the 2nd or 3rd best team in the NFL this year. To truly understand this, down at an almost primal level, you have to have been or be intimately associated with the GAME as a player, coach or both (at some level). Any of you who have played the game or coached the game at any level know what I mean. I have coached a team that was undefeated in the regular season, but failed to maintain the proper attitude for my team and ultimately it was on ME that they lost the last, most important game as we faced the team that just barely made it into the playoffs (their coach was the BEST coach that year). Next season? No team ever assembled could defeat us, ever. Period. Believe. Honestly, not all the Cowboys believe this, else they would be undefeated (they certainly have the talent). I want the player that says "nobody can beat us" over the player that says "I think we have a good chance". Logic has NOTHING to do with it. As a fan, I have the option to point and laugh. Don't get me wrong, I do plenty of pointing and laughing. This particular story struck me, however, as the Cowboys and PFT are ultimately pointing and laughing at US. As well they should be.
